When I care for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep their routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, and receive any special care they need. I also spend time playing with them, giving them attention, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I clean up after them, keep their space tidy, and treat both the pets and the home with respect. I like to send updates and photos so owners can see how their pets are doing and have peace of mind while they’re away.

Schedule
Pet sitting fits well into my schedule because my internship is part-time and primarily takes place during the day. This allows me to be flexible in the mornings, evenings, and on weekends when many pet owners need care for their animals. Since pet sitting often involves feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins outside of traditional work hours, I am able to reliably meet pets' needs while balancing my internship responsibilities. My schedule also gives me the ability to provide overnight care or multiple visits throughout the day when needed, ensuring pets receive consistent attention and care while their owners are away.
