Hi there! I have many years of pet care experience, including puppy training from 8 weeks to one year old (all positive reinforcement), cat sitting and training, house plants, rodents, reptiles, and birds. I have dog and cat sit professionally for friends and clients for several years. As well as informal dog and cat training experience. Additionally, I was a volunteer at a raptor rehabilitation center for 3 years and have varied bird experience. I specialize in house sitting. When able I will travel distance from my home to yours for a fee to cover time and gas. I've had several extended over 2 week house sitting jobs which have included multiple creatures *cats dogs and plants!) to care for. I also have experience with horses, reptiles, and birds in case your fur babies are maybe less furry!

Margaret was super! Our dogs loved her.
We have never done a drop-in before, so we were a bit nervous about how our dog would do with someone coming into her space. But Margaret was amazing and so patient with her! She came by for a meet-and-greet to get to know her ahead of time, which was perfect. We would 100% have Margaret watch June again!
Our dog had a BLAST! Great person and prompt response time. Stopping to see the national park? Stop here first.
Margaret took wonderful care of our elderly Basset Hound. We felt completely at ease leaving our fur baby with her, and she even sent us photos to keep us updated.
This was a last minute booking and everything worked out perfectly. Responsive and sent lots of updates. Would book with Margaret if I’m ever in the area again.

Schedule
My day job is wildland firefighting so I am infrequently available during the summer and often out of cell service. However, if I can make an impromptu sit work I will! I'm most available for last minute and short term pet or house sitting, just depends on work so please just ask to see if I'm available. However I'd love to take your pups for regular walks (or runs) if I can!

Other than as needed services, like walking, I can care for your pets in your home where they are most comfortable. Either house-sitting if you are comfortable with that, or checking on them regularly and ensuring they are fed, walked, and loved in a way that fits their comfortability.
A typical day
I love to go for walks and explore different trails, so I'd love to take your pup out on adventures if that's amenable to you. I also like to run (slowly!) So if your pup is more active I can accommodate that as well!
