I believe in a quiet firm tone to let animals know I am in charge. I believe quiet firm body language and words makes animals feel safe and secure. I try to read the body language of animals also and use that to work with them at their pace. I love learning about new dogs and teaching them new tricks. This stimulates their mind and is fun for them which makes them happy to learn more from me. I grew up in a home where dogs were bred and raised professionally and I have had 7 of my own dogs throughout the years. Four of my dogs were adopted as adults and had to work through emotional and behavioral problems to become wonderful dogs. I have trained on electric fences, gentle leaders, and prong collars. I prefer to use more gentle methods to work with animals, but understand that each dog has its own special style of training.

Boarded my three cats for the first time, because my whole house was being painted. Margaret and her daughter took great care of my girls and sent me photos of the kitties cuddling in bed. They stayed 4 nights and I had full confidence that they were in good hands!
I really appreciate the flexibility and wonderful communication that Margaret and her family provide.
Margaret accepted a last-minute sitting after an emergency with another sitter and put our mind at ease for the remainder of our vacation. She respected Coco's boundaries, and he seemed to warm up to her pretty quickly. She also took great care of our home. Really thankful and highly recommend her!!

I also have a kitten. He believes he is my dog’s baby and he believes he is a dog. Do you have a gentle dog who has never met a cat? Would you like to get a cat, but you are unsure of your dog? Our cat is a great training cat. We can schedule a meet and greet to see if our cat would be a good match to train your dog. I have had great experiences with sitting dogs who have never met a cat before. By the end of the day, the dogs and my cat are sleeping side by side on the floor.
