Availability

I work from home during the week, so dogs are rarely left alone and follow a consistent daily rhythm of potty breaks, walks, rest, and supervision. Because I keep bookings low-volume, my availability is limited — I’d rather do fewer stays exceptionally well than take on more than I can give full attention to. My schedule works best for adult dogs already comfortable with a calm, structured routine.

Safety, trust & environment

To make sure it’s a good fit for everyone, I typically accept dogs that are house trained, crate trained, friendly with people and other dogs, and able to settle calmly indoors. One note on our setup: our yard isn’t fenced, so all outdoor time is on-leash — this is part of how I maintain safety and consistency throughout the stay.

Information Margaret C. would like to know about your pet

Before booking, I like to learn about each dog’s normal routine, personality, and comfort level to make sure our home is a good fit. Helpful information includes feeding schedule, sleeping arrangements, energy level, experience around other dogs, and how they typically do when left alone briefly. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I’m best suited for dogs that are house trained, crate trained, friendly with people and other dogs, and able to settle calmly in a home environment during the workday. Please also let me know about any medications, mobility limitations, behavioral concerns, or anything else that would help me provide the best possible care during their stay.

A typical day

Dogs settle into a home routine built around regular outdoor time, walks, rest, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. I tailor the specifics — feeding times, nap habits, play style — to each dog’s normal routine, so the stay feels familiar rather than disruptive. Most dogs are treated like part of the household: welcome on furniture, sleeping in my room or their crate, whichever they’re used to.

Pet care experience

My fiancé and I are lifelong dog lovers who share our home with Maple, our golden retriever. I trained her myself, and she’s earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification — a reflection of the structure and consistency I bring to every dog I care for. I work from home full-time and intentionally keep bookings low-volume, typically accepting one dog at a time. This means individualized attention, regular outdoor breaks and walks, and a genuinely calm environment — not a house full of competing dogs. I have experience with large breeds like goldens and labs, as well as senior dogs who do best with quieter, personalized care. Cleanliness, safety, and reliability guide everything I do, and my goal is for every dog to feel like part of the household during their stay.

Margaret is awesome! She is so good to our pup and he comes home exhausted. She’s super communicative and sends great updates. Highly recommend her.

Margaret was absolutely amazing. I needed someone for a last-minute trip and she was quick to respond and super communicative! I have a 12 week old puppy and after our meet and greet I fully trusted her with him and felt 100% comfortable! Her golden got along super well with my dog and I was happy he had a friend. She updated me with pictures and videos everyday and took such great care of him. He almost didn’t want to leave! Margaret was awesome and will be using her again for trips! Thank you so much!

Margaret took great care of our dog, Myla! She was very communicative and sent picture updates, which we really appreciated. It was obvious from the pictures that Myla was happy and well taken care of in our absence. We definitely plan to use Margaret again!
