Because I work from home during the week, dogs are rarely left alone and are able to follow a calm and consistent daily routine. Dogs receive regular potty breaks, outdoor time, walks, rest throughout the workday, and attentive supervision during their stay. I intentionally keep bookings low-volume so each dog receives individualized care and a quieter environment than a traditional boarding setting. My schedule is best suited for adult dogs that are comfortable settling in a home environment during the day and are accustomed to a consistent routine.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety, consistency, and a calm environment are very important in our home. Because I only take a limited number of dogs at a time, I’m able to provide attentive supervision and maintain a structured routine throughout each stay. Dogs are always leashed outdoors since our yard is not fenced, and I prioritize slow, thoughtful introductions to help dogs feel comfortable and successful in the home. Maple is friendly and social with visiting dogs and settles quickly after introductions. To ensure a good fit for everyone, I typically accept dogs that are: • house trained • crate trained • friendly with people and other dogs • able to settle calmly indoors • on a consistent feeding schedule Dogs are welcome on furniture, can sleep in my room or in their crate, and are treated like part of the household while maintaining structure and supervision.

Information Margaret C. would like to know about your pet
Before booking, I like to learn about each dog’s normal routine, personality, and comfort level to make sure our home is a good fit. Helpful information includes feeding schedule, sleeping arrangements, energy level, experience around other dogs, and how they typically do when left alone briefly. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I’m best suited for dogs that are house trained, crate trained, friendly with people and other dogs, and able to settle calmly in a home environment during the workday. Please also let me know about any medications, mobility limitations, behavioral concerns, or anything else that would help me provide the best possible care during their stay.
A typical day
A typical day includes regular potty breaks, outdoor time, walks, rest throughout the workday, and plenty of attention and supervision. Because I work from home, dogs are able to settle into a calm and consistent routine and are rarely left alone for long periods. I prefer a quieter, low-volume environment, so most dogs quickly become part of the household during their stay. I tailor care to each dog’s normal routine as much as possible while maintaining structure and consistency to help them feel comfortable, relaxed, and at home.

Pet care experience
My fiancé and I are lifelong dog lovers and share our home with Maple, our friendly golden retriever. I work from home full-time, which allows me to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day in a calm home environment. I trained Maple myself, and she has earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Because of this, I value structure, consistency, and good manners, and our home is best suited for well-trained adult dogs that enjoy a calm household environment. I specialize in caring for social, house-trained dogs in a low-volume setting. Unlike larger boarding environments, I typically only accept one client at a time, allowing dogs to receive individualized attention, regular outdoor breaks, daily walks, and a comfortable place to relax throughout their stay. I have experience with large breeds including golden retrievers and labs, as well as senior dogs that benefit from a quieter and more personalized environment. Cleanliness, safety, and reliability are very important to me, and I strive to make each dog feel comfortable and at home while maintaining structure and routine.
Reviews

Margaret was absolutely amazing. I needed someone for a last-minute trip and she was quick to respond and super communicative! I have a 12 week old puppy and after our meet and greet I fully trusted her with him and felt 100% comfortable! Her golden got along super well with my dog and I was happy he had a friend. She updated me with pictures and videos everyday and took such great care of him. He almost didn’t want to leave! Margaret was awesome and will be using her again for trips! Thank you so much!

Margaret took great care of our dog, Myla! She was very communicative and sent picture updates, which we really appreciated. It was obvious from the pictures that Myla was happy and well taken care of in our absence. We definitely plan to use Margaret again!

Margaret is wonderful! She and her dog Maple take great care of our puppy! She comes back tired and happy :)

Margaret was a wonderful Rover, she took great care of our 4 month old puppy. Her dog Maple is so sweet and playful, it was the perfect weekend for our pup!
