I have been a Rover sitter since 2020, and cared for friends/family pets since I was younger. Presently I work full time as a dog and cat boarding facility manager and part time petsitting and dog walking. I have 4 years of dog training experience and learning every day! I regularly care for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens of all ages and tailor my care to suit the needs of the animal. I work with pets who struggle while away from home or with new people to help them feel comfortable and confident in my care. I am comfortable giving medications in many different forms.

I am Pet First Aid and CPR certified! I am comfortable administering medications of all kinds, including injections. I am well educated on safe, effective handling techniques when giving medications or providing first aid. If there is a need for me to transport your pet, I have a reliable vehicle with a large, crash tested Ruffland kennel where pets ride. In case of emergency, if I cannot contact you or your primary vet I will take your dog to the nearest emergency veterinarian's office. Your pets will not be allowed off leash in my care unless in a securely fenced area. Fences are checked for weak points before allowing pets off leash. Pets are always supervised when outdoors even in fenced back yards. All harnesses, collars and leashes are inspected before use for any damage or poor fit. If I am concerned for your pet's safety on leash, I will provide a universal fitting, escape-proof Harness Lead for use during my visit. Client dogs are not permitted to greet unknown people or dogs without express permission from their owner. Doors are opened carefully and doublechecked that they are shut. I prefer dogs be crate trained or confined to a room away from the exit door for safety. I have experience managing dogs with behavioral issues. I work with owners to create a care plan for their pet so that everyone is safe. All food and treats must be provided by the owner. If I would like to offer a different kind of treat, I will ask permission from the owner first and provide a list of ingredients when requested. Pets are always monitored with toys, chews or treats that may be a choking hazard. Assisting a choking pet is included in my First Aid and CPR certification. I communicate any signs of pet injury or illness to their owner immediately.

Margaret was a great companion to our shy Jonesy while we were away! Her reassuring presence convinced him to come out of his closet safe space and go hang out all over the apartment with Margaret. She sent us pictures and updates - and even watered our plants!

Reliable, dependable, and very caring!
Margaret was a wonderful petsitter for our week out of state. She travels with her own sweet dog and she makes sure that your own dog(s) and hers get along to make for a smooth stay. Margaret was good with communication and follow-through. She sent pictures and videos of our multiple pets. While we were away, our older dog had an unfortunate pet emergency. She was observant to health concerns that we hadn't noticed and was in immediate consultation with us. She took our dog to the vet appointment and stayed with her, even through an unforeseen euthanasia. As a family far from our beloved pets, we were struggling with this. I will forever appreciate the care that Margaret gave our sweet girl when she stayed by her side and facetimed us so we could say our goodbyes. Overall Margaret did an excellent job. I would hire her again!

I work full time at Nelly's, and my availability revolves around my work schedule. Please reach out and we can see how your pet's routine would fit in with mine!

- If I am feeding or providing medications to your pet, I ask clients to provide written feeding and mediation instructions for their pet, including the amount and time of day they are typically fed or the dose, time and delivery method for medications. Please let me know any commands your dog knows so that I can communicate with words that are familiar to them! Please inform me of any known health issues including arthritis, lumps and bumps, or fatigue that may come with age. It is important for me to understand your dog's baseline so I can react accordingly if something changes. For housesitting: Please tell me about your daily routine: when do you typically wake up or go to bed? When does your dog tend to go potty or get walked during the day? When are you at work? How much time does your dog spend active during the day? My goal is to help your pet feel comfortable while you're away, and keeping their routine as normal as possible is important to that!
