Pet care experience
Animals deserve to be loved
I am a dog owner at present and have a pet Beagle who is 5 years 3 months old. Over my years since I was a child have had many types of pets from Dogs, Cats, Birds, Reptiles, Fish, Guinea Pigs and mice. All of which my families and myself have cared for over the many years. This has enabled me to become knowledgeable in animal care of which I enjoy doing along with my family who also feel the same way.

Margaret is a very caring and lovely person who is very responsible, and knows how to take care of dogs well. She looks after her own dog with so much love and care and she is very attentive to others needs. Margaret is definitely someone who I would trust with a furry friend!
I have known Margaret for several years having met through work. What sets her apart from others is her strong work ethic, caring attitude and sense of social responsibility. Always willing to help others, she would make the perfect pet caregiver. An animal lover, she is highly empathetic to their vulnerability actively supporting animal welfare/rights organisations. She always maintains a calm demeanour in stressful situations, is exceptionally well organised, has abundant energy levels and is highly dependable.
I am delighted to recommend Margaret as a responsible, trustworthy, and genuinely caring pet caregiver. Her love for animals is immediately obvious, and she goes above and beyond to ensure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in her care. Margaret is dependable, attentive, and treats every animal as if they were her own. She understands that each pet has its own personality and routine, taking the time to provide patient, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs. Whether it's keeping pets active, maintaining feeding schedules, or simply offering reassurance and affection, you can have complete confidence that they are in safe hands. What truly sets Margaret apart is her commitment to exceptional customer service. She communicates clearly, is reliable and professional, and understands how important it is for owners to have peace of mind while they're away. Her thoughtful updates, honesty, and caring approach help build trust from the very beginning. I would not hesitate to recommend Margaret to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pets with the same love, dedication, and attention that they would themselves. Any pet would be lucky to spend time in her care.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Our pet dog has 2 main meals breakfast and dinnertime. Two main walks one in morning and one in afternoon or evening. Also small walk at lunchtime. Goes out in back garden when she wants and for toilet stops. Sometimes take her to the enclosed Hazlehead Park where she can be off lead. Otherwise keep her on lead for walks. We have a lot of young children in our development who love to meet and greet our pet dog where she behaves well with them. There are lovely wooded walks and the Den which are interesting walks for my dog. She sleeps in various parts of home. Her bed in kitchen or on the carpeted floor in sittingroom or on the sofa in sittingroom with cover on. Ensure she has her main meals with a mixture of soft food, kibble and vegetables. Provide fresh water and ensured changed throughout the day and for bedtime. I check her ears regularly as she has floppy ears being a Beagle and clean as required. Also she gets a bath from time to time only when needs. My home is kept clean, clutter free and hoovered regularly. She gets plenty strokes, reassurance and love in our family home but also given space when she needs. She likes to sit on the couch with anyone of the family. When out for walks I or my family member watch her carefully when near roads, use the pedestrian crossing and ensure she is comfortable meeting other dog owners by watching her behaviour. If not I walk on or block her view of the dog owner to avoid reaction and praise her when she copes well or does good. She is socialised with dogs and likes most breeds. Our dog is also happy to be left on her own when we are attending to day to day needs but is within the recommended time scale of no more than 4 hours.

A typical day
I have mental dog toys where she uses time to time to find treats. She loves walks and to sniff being a hound which is very important for stimulation. I have agility home equipment so she can have fun with them time to time or just running round the back garden with her as she loves this stimulation. She knows many commands so my family and I use these to keep her stimulated and just before she receives her meals or treats. This is very important to stimulate her and also know commands so that they are aware of their boundaries. Our pet dog likes to meet people and sniff them.
