I have experience working with anxious dogs (both my own and others I've cared for), and I am comfortable walking dogs who may not be friendly to other dogs. I cannot watch dogs at my house, but I am comfortable stopping by your home for visits.

I'm an experienced dog owner with over 15 years of dog care experience. I have three dogs of my own and fostered 36 dogs throughout my childhood, giving me familiarity with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. While I've been away at college, I've really missed spending time with my dogs and would love the opportunity to walk and care for yours!

Marco has a special way with dogs - he is a calm and compassionate presence. Marco has a genuinely special bond with each of our three quirky/anxious dogs. One of our dogs (med. terrier) refuses to walk with my very loving husband but goes willingly with Marco. Another (large pit mix) can be reactive to other dogs, but Marco understands her need for a "space bubble" and always makes sure to gauge her comfort level when out in our busy neighborhood. Our third dog (tiny chihuahua) refused to walk on a leash with anyone until Marco coaxed her into looking forward to getting out and about. Now she walks confidently with all members of the family. Marco also loves walking the dogs as part of his daily routine - when the rest of us feel the dog walk is a "chore" or are bored with the routine loop around the neighborhood, Marco isn't. The dogs seem to sense this too, and light up whenever Marco grabs a leash :)
Marco is a very responsible and caring pet sitter. Our dog, Lily, is a senior dog who is a bit anxious. Marco has experience with a variety of dog temperaments, so I felt comfortable leaving Lily in his care. He administered her medication without issue. He also followed the instructions for her daily routine and exercise perfectly, which was a huge relief. Lily clearly bonded with him. She is always happy and calm when I arrive back home after she has been in Marco's care. If you want a reliable pet sitter and a happy pet, Marco is the right person for the job!
