I’ve been around animals my entire life - I grew up with both dogs and cats, and currently live with my partner (who is also on Rover) our cat, kitten, and rescue dog, so I’m really used to juggling different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to older pets who need a little extra patience and gentleness. I have hands-on experience with rescues, which has taught me how important it is to move at each animal’s pace and build trust through calm, consistent care. I pay close attention to routines, body language, and little details, because every pet is different, and I love sending owners photos and updates!

Lovely, responsible and kind. Marcella stayed in my house for three weeks and looked after River, who can be a bit of a hand-full. She went above and beyond to look after him, expose him to other dogs and help with his reactivity. We couldn't be happier!

Thank you so much for taking cate of the pets! They had such a great time. Marcella was very attentive to all my animals and sent lots of pictures for me to see (and even set up a video chat with us so my kid could see them pets!) She went above and beyond. Cannot say thank you enough!
Loki (my cat) had the best time boarding with Marcella, I was missing him like crazy but Marcella sent daily updates and pictures! I will be using Marcella again where possible - Highly recommend!

Marcella was great in looking after our cat Pumpkin, she gave regular updates and also sent pictures so that we knew Pumpkin was eating and enjoying herself. We will definitely message again in the future if/when we need a sitter

Schedule
I work from home, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and lots of companionship throughout the day. Because I’m home most of the time, pets are rarely left alone for long periods. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s usual routine so they feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible while you’re away. My partner is also a verified Rover pet sitter, so we are also able to support each other with pet care in our home!

Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I’m attentive, responsible, and respectful of both pets and their owners’ homes. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, and house rules. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, boundaries, and needs, and I always aim to create a calm, positive environment. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I keep spaces clean, secure, and stress-free. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

A typical day
Having rescued and fostered dogs for most of my life, I understand the importance of mental stimulation! I love taking dogs for long walks, and am also able to use the sensory toys and puzzles that I have to keep them occupied and engaged. With cat care, I’m equipped with plenty of toys, scratching posts, and can offer cats their own private room when boarding so that they can settle in a calm and quiet environment

- Please let me know if your pets have any behaviours, dietary needs, or other factors that you’d like me to take into account when planning for their care.
