I work from home, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and lots of companionship throughout the day. Because I’m home most of the time, pets are rarely left alone for long periods. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s usual routine so they feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible while you’re away.

A typical day
Having rescued and fostered dogs for most of my life, I understand the importance of mental stimulation! I love taking dogs for long walks, and am also able to use the sensory toys and puzzles that I have to keep them occupied and engaged. With cat care, I’m equipped with plenty of toys, scratching posts, and can offer cats their own private room when boarding so that they can settle in a calm and quiet environment

Pet care experience
I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly feel most at home with them. I grew up with both dogs and cats, and today I share my home with my partner, our cat, kitten, and a rescue dog, so I’m really used to juggling different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from playful puppies and kittens to older pets who need a little extra patience and gentleness. I have hands-on experience with rescues, which has taught me how important it is to move at each animal’s pace and build trust through calm, consistent care. I pay close attention to routines, body language, and little details, because every pet is different, and I love sending owners photos and updates!

Marcella was great in looking after our cat Pumpkin, she gave regular updates and also sent pictures so that we knew Pumpkin was eating and enjoying herself. We will definitely message again in the future if/when we need a sitter

Marcella responded to my request super quickly and managed to take care of my pets (2 cats and 1 dog) under a quick turnaround which I was very grateful for. They were super attentive and caring towards them, following all the instructions I left. I was nervous about finding care particularly for my rescue dog who is quite anxious but Marcella's experience was clear and managed to take her for a walk several times! Thank you again and I will definitely be using her again!
