With over 14 years of full-time experience caring for animals, pet care is more than just my profession it is a lifelong passion. While the majority of my experience has been with dogs, I have also gained extensive experience caring for cats and birds in their homes. I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant with hands on veterinary experience and a strong understanding of animal health and wellness. I am comfortable administering oral, topical, and injectable medications, monitoring pets during recovery, and providing post-surgical care when needed. I am also very familiar with the veterinary clinics in the area and have experience transporting pets to appointments, assisting with checkups, and helping owners follow veterinary recommendations. What sets me apart is the level of attention and care I provide. I build close, trusting relationships with the pets I care for and take the time to learn their individual personalities, routines, dietary needs, and preferences. I have a strong interest in animal nutrition and understand the importance of maintaining consistency in a pet’s daily routine to support their overall well being. In addition to pet sitting and dog walking, I have several years of grooming experience. My building includes a dedicated pet grooming facility, allowing me to conveniently offer grooming services while pets are in my care. I am a dependable, knowledgeable, and compassionate caregiver with many long-term client relationships national and international. References from local families are available upon request, and I take great pride in the trust that both pets and their owners place in me. I would be happy to assist with all of your pet care needs, including pet sitting, dog walking, medication administration, recovery care, transportation to veterinary appointments, grooming, and personalized daily care.

Marcela was the best care we could have hoped for for our dog and cat during a long weekend! She was extremely communicative, went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, sent photos and updates several times per day and took gentle care of our pets (especially during July 4 fireworks). We can’t wait for Marcela to stay with our girls again and are very grateful we found her!
Excellent kind dog sitter
So happy to have found a sitter for my dog. She has done a great job taking care of our Sasha during her last two stays. You can tell that she really loves animals. She always sends pics of Sasha playing and let's us know how she is doing. I highly recommend Marcela!

Marcela is absolutely wonderful! I had never left my little dog, JJ, in the care of someone other than family so I was nervous. I had nothing to be nervous about! Marcela took wonderful care of JJ and I know that JJ also had a lot of fun while she was staying with Marcela. Marcela was excellent in communicating with me and lots of pictures and videos were sent showing me that JJ was having a great visit. Marcela is kind, gentle and a true animal lover. I know that when JJ stays with her again she will feel like she is at home. I recommend Marcela highly!!
Marcela was nothing short of amazing! Our little Penelope had a blast from the walks to the park to the playing fetch in the apartment. I was so happy to see different snapshots of her just having a great time. Marcela sent us photos and updates and was extremely attentive. We will definitely be using her services in the future and highly recommend her to anyone seeking a sitter!

I like to take them for a nice walk to Bruce Park, Roger Sherman Baldwin Park next to the water and Greenwich Common Pocket Park on Greenwich Ave which are at only 10 -15 minutes walking from my house.
