Welcome!! My name is Marah, and I’m a Roanoke native living in NW Roanoke near Salem with my amazing husband, Jonah. We share our home with our three friendly dogs and one sweet cat who all love welcoming new furry friends into the pack! Time truly flies when you’re having fun — and fun is guaranteed with a house full of happy dogs! 2026 marks our 12th year of hosting dogs in our home, and we are so grateful for the families who trust us year after year. Our schedules allow us to ensure dogs are rarely, if ever, left alone for more than an hour or two. We look forward to meeting you and giving your pups a safe, loving, and enriching stay. ⸻ Availability for Drop-Offs & Meet-and-Greets I do not offer weekday meet-and-greets or extended drop-off windows due to my work-from-home schedule. For first-time bookings during Monday–Friday, please plan to drop off: • Before 7:00 AM, or • After 4:00 PM I work from home and balance meetings, deadlines, and caring for multiple animals, so respecting these time windows keeps everything running smoothly. ⸻ Communication & Courtesy Because I host several dogs at once, a quick text when you’re on the way is extremely helpful so I can secure everyone safely before you arrive. Please be respectful of the scheduled time — I cannot wait hours for arrivals, even though I work from home. If you are more than 15 minutes late, please send me a message. This applies on weekends as well. ⸻ What to Bring Please only bring: ✔️ YOUR DOG’S FOOD in a locking container • No plastic or Ziploc bags • Label the container clearly • Include a measuring scoop/cup or specify the exact measurement (e.g., “½ cup”) ✔️ Necessary medications (if boarding) Medications are accepted ONLY in the following ways: 1. Original bottle with printed instructions, or 2. Individually bagged by dose (ex: MON AM, MON PM) Please bring pill pockets if your dog needs them. If you do not, I provide them for $2 per pill pocket. ❌ DO NOT BRING • Beds • Blankets • Toys • Bowls • Kennels/Crates We have everything your dog needs! NO TREATS unless they are medically required. If so, place them in a separate labeled bag inside the food container. ⸻ Daycare Policy For daycare pups: • Feeding/medications are NOT offered • Dogs must be fed before drop off • If your dog stays longer than 9 hours, they will be considered boarding, and boarding rates apply. ⸻ Pick-Up & Drop-Off Hours Pick-ups and drop-offs are allowed ONLY during these times: Monday–Thursday • 6:45–7:30 AM • 4:00–6:00 PM Friday • 6:45–7:30 AM • 4:00–8:00 PM Saturday–Sunday • 8:00–10:00 AM • 6:00–9:00 PM All Rover requests must use 30-minute arrival windows. I do not accept all-day windows like “8 AM–5 PM.” ⸻ Late Fee Policy • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without communication, a $25 late fee will be charged. • Repeat tardiness after a verbal warning may result in future bookings being declined. My time is just as important as yours — and I often have errands, family responsibilities, other dogs waiting, or scheduled commitments. Communication keeps everything smooth and fair. ⸻ Safety Policies Huskies & High-Prey-Drive Breeds I love Siberian Huskies, but due to my cat, I cannot host Huskies or Husky mixes. I’ve had past incidents with prey-driven breeds, and I will always protect my animals first. Vaccinations We do NOT accept: • Unvaccinated dogs • Puppies under 4 months Flea/Tick Prevention Proof or confirmation of flea/tick prevention is strongly encouraged. Leashes All dogs MUST be leashed to and from your vehicle — as required by law. ⸻ Parking Please DO NOT: • Block neighbors’ driveways • Stop in the middle of the road • Park in neighbors’ yards or driveways You MAY: • Park in front of our home • Pull onto the gravel easement • Block my Lexus near the light pole if needed ⸻ Arrival Instructions We have a Ring doorbell to minimize knocking and reduce barking. If we don’t come immediately: 👉 Please ring the doorbell — do NOT bang on the door. 👉 Text when you’re on the way so we can prepare for your arrival. ⸻ Daily Life Here I work from home full-time and I’m here virtually 24/7. Our routine: • Wake up: 5:00 AM • Breakfast: 7:00 AM • Dinner: 7:00 PM • The rest of the day: a mix of playtime, nap time, yard time, and cuddles! We have: • A large fenced backyard • Lots of friendly dogs • Crates available for safe feeding and sleep routines (if needed but not required). Your dog will be cared for with the same love and structure as our own.
