hi, I’m Mara! i’ve been caring for animals for over a decade in many hands-on roles — grooming salons, rescues, medical clinics, professional dog walking, horse barns, & most recently, as an adoption counselor at the San Diego Humane Society. I’ve truly seen (& loved) it all! i have a rescue dog, Indie, who’s taught me so much on behavior & emotional cues. learning to read her body language — stress signals, boundaries, etc. — completely reshaped how I approach animal care. i’m Fear Free Certified & very intentional about moving at each pet’s pace. i work full-time but have two remote days a week & flexibility for walks, drop-ins, overnights, weekends, & holidays. i’ll follow your pet’s routine closely & always send updates & photos.
