Hi! We’re Mara and Alec, lifelong animal lovers offering a calm, home away from home stay for your dog or cat. We have lots of experience with different cats and dogs, and provide personalised care tailored to your pet’s routine including feeding schedules, medication, and any special requirements. We’re confident with all types of cats and dogs and always adapt to their unique personalities. We’re based near Hove Park and the Hove Seafront, perfect for enriching walks and fresh air. You’ll receive regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and loved.

Mara and her partner Alec were great sitters! We received photos and updates everyday we were away which put us at ease as our cat Quince looked happy and relaxed in their care. We felt they genuinely cared for Quince and gave her play time and met her needs. We would definitely recommend them to other pet owners and would be happy to book them again. We’re sure Quince would agree :)
Mara is so kind and gentle and great with my two fur babies! It’s such a relief and weight off knowing they’re in good hands when I need to go away for a couple of days! She goes over and above to leave the flat as I left it and look after my two cats! 😻
Lola had a great time as always!!
Mara and her partner were absolutely wonderful. Lola had a wonderful week with them and she was super communicative with me, providing me with daily updates on Lola's adventures! I felt she was so attentive and I felt completely at ease while on holiday knowing Lola was well looked after and in great hands. Will definitely ask Mara to Lola sit again for us and would highly recommend 😊😊

Schedule
I work for the NHS and have flexible opportunities to work from home when needed. I live with my partner, Alec. He works from home full-time.

Safety, trust & environment
Alec and I live in a pet friendly apartment close to Hove Park where we love to go out for walks. We luckily have access to a pet wash in our building. We live in a clean, smoke free and spacious apartment for furry friends to explore.
A typical day
I love to keeping your pets comfortable, safe and happy. Here are some ativities I can offer: Dogs: -Long walks in the park (we live right by Hove park) or Hove seafront to keep them active. -Playtime and fun games depending on what they enjoy. -Lots of affection through attention, cuddles and snuggles depending on what they enjoy. Cats: -Interactive play with toys like laser pointers, feather wands, and balls. -Cuddles, treats and lap time for affection (if they enjoy it).
