I’ve worked/lived on a farm growing up caring for animals of all kinds. I’ve had pet dogs and cats my whole life and currently have 3 pet cats! I work with kids full time and caring for pets requires the same skills, kindness, understanding, patience, and compassion.

Safety, trust & environment
For dogs, I’m comfortable with outdoor play, walks, baths, etc., and for cats I’m comfortable with indoor play, maintenance, etc. I’ve cleaned houses parttime previously so any sort of pet related mess/cleaning will be well cared for by me! I love to give attention to pets, and caring for them as if they’re my own. My philosophy is: if this were my pet/home, how would I want someone to do things?

Mara did an incredible job taking care of our two cats for 2 weeks! She made sure they got plenty of attention and also helped care for our elder cat who needed crushed medications twice a day. When we got home the house was in great shape - she had even cleaned our cat dishes and taken out the litter box trash for us! Would 100% recommend to any cat owners - she was amazing!

Mara was great! She did drop in visits to care for our cat while we were on vacation. Lucy, our cat, is very shy and this was the first time we have used this service, so we didn't know what to expect. As the week went on, I could see in the pictures that Lucy was warming up to Mara. Lucy seemed very happy and well cared for when we returned homes.

Schedule
I work a full time job in Rochester (NW) from 8-4. For my routine what works best is any check ins/care after 4pm and before 7:30 am on weekdays. Weekends are WIDE OPEN! Anything from staying the night to multiple potty/play breaks works!
