Been in Austin area for 4 years now, but not new to Rover. I am timely, efficient, and great with schedules. This stems from my prior military service. My love of all things furry and slobbery comes from growing up surrounded by animals, mostly dogs. I just like providing fur mom's and dad's an honest and reliable service. My work schedule allows me some free time that not all pet owners have, and I love being able to lend my support to pet owners as a temporary stand in companion while you're at work or away for a trip. All animals big or small, hairy, hairless, feathers, scales I do it all. I have canine and feline experience, some equestrian, as well as some aquatic and even the exotic.

Safety, trust & environment
I always double check all locks, doors, gates, crates, and I usually do a safety head count/check before leaving. I do last minute bathroom breaks and water checks when needed before leaving any homes. Your home is a safe space for your animal and I try and keep to whatever schedule or routine is normal for each specific pet behavior.
Ratings and reviews
Mara was great with our cats from the moment she arrived for the meet and greet. Both cats were friendly with her on day one, which isn’t typical for our cats. One or both of them usually takes a moment to warm up to new people. That put me at ease right away. I appreciated how thorough she was in asking questions to understand our cats’ needs while we were out of town. We were gone for two weeks, and Mara dropped in each day and stayed a few nights. When we came home, our cats were happy and healthy, and our home was well maintained. She even offered to water our plants while we were away, so those were happy and healthy when we returned as well! We’d absolutely book with Mara again. She gave us peace of mind while we were away from home so we could enjoy our time with family and be present.
Mara stayed at our home with our pups while we took a weekend trip recently. She was very thorough, friendly and communicative throughout the stay. She took great care of our two dogs and our home while we were away. We would absolutely book her again!
Mara saved us when our previous cat sitter canceled on the day we were leaving for a trip. I reached out and within 15 min Mara had called me and offered to drive 40 min to our house immediately to meet us and the cats. She was an amazing sitter - gave us updates, and left our house SO spotlessly clean. Highly recommend!
Mara does a fine job with my big dogs. Coming home to no drama and sending pics along the way is such a lovely thing. Thanks!!

Mara was great! My three large (+100 lbs) dogs aren’t used to being left alone but settled in really well with Mara coming by. Will definitely do this again! This was my first River experience and it was A-1 service and so easy to set up. Thanks Mara!!

Schedule
I work nights, 6PM-6AM. So I’m available in the early AM and late afternoons. I have every Friday off, but I get a 4 day weekend every other week. So if our schedules align you can rely on me when you plan a long weekend away. I’m good with weekday stays when my roommates are home.(We have our own pets, so need to make sure there is coverage) I’m a light sleeper, that way I can be available for daytime schedules like; potty breaks, feedings, and or medication times.
