Her calm and loving demeanor puts animals at ease and naturally draws them to. her. Maple saved our partially paralyzed, deaf setter by understanding that an ice cube held in her hand and her quiet, sure presence would allow him to rehydrate, slowly but surely.- he had not been able to eat or drink for many days at that point and it truly saved his life.
