I have grown up with pets my whole life. For the last 10 years I have cared for pets for my friends, family, and friends of friends. I have two dogs and a cat of my own that I care for as well. I have experience in training dogs as well as providing medical care to pets who need it. This includes IV fluids, pill medications, insulin shots and more. Animals have a very special place in my heart and this shows in the way I love and care for each individual animal as if it were my own. They bring me joy and comfort and I strive to do the same for them!!

I prefer to care for my clients pets in their home as I have two dogs and a cat in my house and I know that providing in-home care to an animal in a new place with new animals is a lot for a pet to take on emotionally. I value structure and routine when caring for another’s pet, as it allows me to provide the best care for the pet when the owner is not around to provide their normal care and support. I believe that there needs to be a buildup of trust between the caretaker and the animal, and this starts during meet and greets where the owner is present, and can provide support and assurance to the pet if needed. I have a very caring and loving presence which allows for even the most fearful pets to feel safe around me.

Mandy is amazing! She is very communicative and after meeting her for the first time I knew my cat Shadow would be in great hands. She stayed with Shadow for 4 days and provided me with updates, including pictures of Shadow sleeping next to her which he has never done with other sitters! This shows me how comfortable he was with Mandy. I will definitely be booking her again in the future.
Mandy is now our ‘furever’ pet sitter! The dogs were not only safe and well-cared for, but got as much love, cuddles and play from Mandy as they do from us. I was afraid they’d want to run away with her!😊. It really gave us such peace of mi d while we were traveling. Can’t recommend her enough!

Mandy is a fantastic pet caregiver! She is a true animal lover and is so caring and kind. In addition to her love for animals, she is also a responsible and dependable person. She is always on time and does a fantastic job communicating. I love to have photos to show that my pup is ok and Mandy is always happy to send pictures. She understands that it can be nerve-wracking to have someone else care for your pet. Additionally, Mandy has always done a great job with special instructions, like medication or carefully measured food, or watching out for signs of an illness/injury. She's watched my senior dog several times. He has some special needs - and quite a grumpy attitude at times - and they had a great time! Do yourself and your pets a favor and book Mandy.

Schedule
I am currently a nanny and a online full-time social work graduate student. This leaves me a lot of extra time throughout the weekday and weekends to check in on pets and spend quality exercise and playtime.

- Some of the most important things I would like to know are as follows: 1. Are they reactive to other animals or people? 2. How do they behave on walks? 3. Any medications or conditions I should be aware of while they are in my care? 4. Specific toys/games your pet likes the most? 5. All details about the dogs everyday routine with the owner, so I can do what I can to follow it as much as possible to create a sense of normalcy for the animal(s) while their owner is out of town.
