Our pets are family!
Hi, my name is Mandie and I am here full-time to give great care to your pets while you are away on business or vacation. I was a vet tech for many years and have experience in animal handling and behavior. I understand your puppies(or kitties) needs as well as your senior dogs(or cats). I am reliable, attentive and affectionate to all of my furry clients. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! More about me: I am originally from Tennessee but I love the coast and the nice people here in Charleston. I am a Coastal Carolina University Alumni with a BS in Marine Science. I enjoy biking, paddling, and beach-combing with my teenage son and my 11 year old mix breed female named Loca. (My quiet hours are set from 8:30pm-6:00am so any message during that time frame will be delivered in the morning.)

I have been working with dogs professionally since I was 15 years old. First as a kennel technician, then as a technicians assistant and then finally as a fully trained veterinary technician. I have worked in large kennels with over 100 runs, as well as very small vet clinics with just a few available spots. I prefer the in home boarding setting for my own dogs and I am happy to offer that to my clients.

To me the difference between Mandie and others on Rover is very huge. Others we have used before did a pretty good job of boarding my dogs. Mandie actually TAKES CARE of them. She uses her many years of experience in animal care to insure you can spend your vacation worry free. We did not worry on our trip out of town, knowing our two elder dogs, with their crazy med and food needs, were in Mandie’s very capable and loving hands.
Mandie is the best. Her house is the only place in Charleston I feel comfortable leaving my little girl.
Mandie, as always, was wonderful with my shy kitty. She was even able to tempt him out for playtime and treats! 😻 thanks, Mandie!
