Safety, trust & environment

Whenever I house sit, my top priority is always safety. I accomplish this by always making sure doors are locked when I enter and leave the home, as well as making sure everything is tidy when I leave to avoid any accidental messes by the dog/cat. I also carry a pet first aid kit with me at all times. Additionally, your fur baby will be covered by my personal pet sitters insurance, as well as the Rover Guarantee! My attention towards your fur baby will be the same level I give to my own - always making sure they are happy and healthy. They deserve all the love they can get!

Information Malorie W. would like to know about your pet

As I mentioned before, safety is always my priority. To make sure I have everything I need, I would greatly appreciate communication on anything special your fur baby may need while they are being looked after. Some examples of this information includes dietary restrictions and physical limitations. It will also be helpful to have contact information of your vet in case of an emergency

A typical day

In addition to walks, I love to keep the dog’s mind stimulated. A couple examples of fun games I like to play with dogs are hide-and-seek, as well as hiding treats for them to find (I make sure they find them all so no treats are left behind). These games are not only great for the dog’s mind, but it’s also a great alternative when the weather is not good for walking.

Pet care experience

**In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I am also insured and bonded through Pet Sitter’s Associates for an extra peace of mind. I have also taken a pet first aid course through Recover** As a mother of two dogs and one cat, I have an abundance of personal experience with animals. I am the kind of pet mom who bakes a birthday cake for my fur babies, and takes my dogs out frequently to different adventures, which includes hiking trails, dog parks, and dog beaches. My first dog's name is Kairi. She is a loving Golden Retriever mix. Although I have taken cared of other people's dogs before, she is my first. I went to training classes with her, so I know how to handle dogs and have more experience with different kinds of dogs. I also socialize her as often as I can at dog parks and dog beaches. I am an owner who keeps an eye on my dog at all times to make sure she is safe. Overall, my dog grew up happily and well-trained. **My second dog, Odin, lives with my boyfriend. We adopted him together when he was two months old. Just like my first, I raised him properly and was able to train him without classes. He is now 8 months old and is well-trained and a happy pup. Not only am I a lover for my own pets, I also take care of other people's pets. I've had plenty of experiences house sitting for my neighbors and my friends. I treat all animals with tender love and care! ** I wrote this bio about 6 1/2 years ago. My boyfriend is now my husband, and Odin of course lives with us who is now 7 years old. Kairi is now 10 years old, and my cat, Butters, is 13 years old. They all get along well, and my dogs are still very well trained. I have much more experience than I did when I first started on Rover, and I am of course always still learning new things about pet care. It’s an amazing never-ending journey.
