I currently work full-time during the week, but I’m still able to provide dependable drop-in care and quality engagement for pets. I’m available for evening drop-in visits during the weekdays and can provide up to two visits per day on weekends. During visits, I focus on more than just feeding and potty breaks — I make sure pets receive attention, enrichment, playtime, affection, and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m especially attentive to routines, behavioral cues, and making animals feel safe and relaxed in their home environment.

I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and small animals for over 5 years and have hands-on experience with large breeds, working dogs, reactive dogs, and high-energy personalities. I currently own German Shepherds as well as two chinchillas, so I understand the importance of species-specific care, structure, enrichment, and maintaining a safe environment. I’m comfortable with crate routines, medication administration, basic training reinforcement, long walks, litter box care, feeding routines, and reading animal body language. My professional background in high-stress environments has also made me calm, dependable, detail-oriented, and communicative. I know how important trust is when leaving your pets with someone else, and I treat every animal like they’re my own.

My dog is older and through out his entire life I had been able to be there with him. Unfortunately, my situation has shifted and it breaks my heart that, now, when it feels like he needs me the most, I am suddenly less available. Malie has been such a relief. She is incredibly patient, attentive, and compassionate, and truly understands the unique needs that come with caring for an older dog. Not only is she able to connect and care for my dog, it also stood out to me was how confident and responsible she is with medication administration. From keeping to his schedule to making sure he stays comfortable and stress-free, I always feel completely at ease knowing my dog is getting the care he needs and in the same way as if I were giving it. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and especially skilled with an older dog with medical needs, I would absolutely recommend Malie without hesitation. She communicates well, pays attention to details, and genuinely treats them like family, even with all the extra care and attention required.
Leaving my pets with a sitter is somewhat of a challenge for me as I have a menagerie including medically fragile rabbits, cats, and leash-reactive dogs. With that amount of specialized care, trusting someone to follow through can be absolutely nerve wracking; that said, I always have complete trust that Malie will rise to the occasion! She is detail-oriented, compassionate, communicative, and I know she takes wonderful care of my little zoo. I would recommend her to anyone looking for peace of mind and assurance your pets are given the best care while you actually get to relax and enjoy your time away!

Malie is absolutely incredible with reactive dogs and pets who need extra patience, structure, and understanding. They have such a calm, confident energy that animals naturally respond well to, and they never make dogs feel rushed or overwhelmed. I especially appreciated how knowledgeable and patient they were during bath time and handling. Grooming can be stressful for reactive dogs, but they took their time, respected boundaries, and made the experience as low-stress and positive as possible. It’s very clear they understand canine behavior and know how to work with dogs in a compassionate, safe, and thoughtful way. They are reliable, communicative, and genuinely care about the comfort and wellbeing of every animal they work with. I would trust them completely with my pets and highly recommend them to anyone with reactive, anxious, or high-needs dogs.
