When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow their routine as closely as possible to keep their dog comfortable and stress-free. For walks, I make sure each dog gets the right amount of exercise based on their age, energy level, and needs. I use secure leashing practices and stay aware of our surroundings to keep them safe at all times. For drop-in let-outs, I ensure they have a chance to go to the bathroom, get fresh water, and receive attention and playtime before I leave. I also check that everything in the home is secure and that the dog is safely settled. I’m very attentive to behavior and body language, so I can adjust if a dog seems anxious, excited, or tired. I also provide updates and photos after each visit so owners feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.
