Pet care experience

Can’t wait to meet your fur babies!

I have plenty of pet experience from past jobs of mine. I’ve worked at a doggie daycare & dog groomer. Both taught me amazing patience for animals as well as learning different types of personalities of individual pets along the way. I have experience giving medication to animals as well. I currently work at Chewy as a pharmacy technician so I know quite a bit about pet medication. I would love to help you out & take care of your fur babies when needed :)

I contact her on short notice and she was able to be with my fur babies. I was a little nervous because the older one has sun downs and paces. She gave him his medicine and loved on both of them. Definitely going to use her again. She saved my trip.

House Sitting • Feb 24, 2024

I hate leaving bad reviews and I so badly wanted this to go well as it was my first long trip anywhere without my pup. I met her prior we chatted briefly about work and one day she had scheduled and then also classes, but she was hired to house sit entire week while I was away on cruise as normally Id take my pup with me. She is a small dog, loves snuggles and just needed someone to spend time with her. Unfortunately the scheduling and understanding of how often i wanted my dog out of crate and her at the house was not met. She sat in her crate for almost 12 hours each day or longer and had been let out quickly and then put back in crate as sitter was leaving again right after . There was no time other than when she was sleeping over that my dog was left out of crate for longer than an hour. I cancelled her services two days in due to poor communication, the neglect I felt my pup was receiving and the lack of insight as to you are caring for a living thing who shouldn't be crated up all day or I would have boarded her. I expected my pet to be treated as much like I would as possible and it just wasn't met. Luckily I was able to find a family member to watch the rest of my time away.

Makylie house sat for us for a week. She was quick to respond to our messages. She sent us daily pictures of our pups. They looked happy and well loved on. We felt good about leaving them with her and would use her again.

Makylie was great. She stayed in our home and cared for our fur baby. Our baby has anxiety when we leave and she was well cared for and looks to be stress free. Thank you Makylie.

Schedule

I currently work at Chewy Pharmacy so I’m able to pick up dog walks in the afternoon’s and can definitely watch your fur babies either at your place or mine ! I do work 8-10 hours shifts so it would be better if the pet is able to be crated for long periods and of time or have the ability to hold their potty needs that long.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I previously had a fenced in yard back home that we either let our dogs run out into or we put them on a lead outside in the yard. Since now living on my own I take my 2 dogs are walks once I get home from work. On my off days , we go for extended walks or go to the dog park to run out some energy. My dogs go potty 3-4 times a day. They usually let me know when they need to go out.

Pets

A typical day

If there is a yard we will play fetch. I will take dogs to dog parks if requested and let them run to get their energy out! If you live in a neighborhood we could go for a walk or run, whatever the dog is feeling that day.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
No females in heat
Crate-trained dogs only
Makylie can host up to 1 pet per night
It is important to know the age, gender, size and breed of the dog I will be working with. Knowing the age will give me a good idea of how much energy they will have. The dog breed also ties into that aspect as well.
