Recently graduated from UCF with a bachelors degree in Pre-Veterinary Science/Zoology. I have my own 10 lb pup (Milo) that lives with me. He is a 4 year old Havanese and is very friendly with other people and dogs. I understand the importance of consistent training so I am happy to work with owners on using proper commands and consistent routines for your babies. I am also always happy to take in or do drop ins for more exotic animals. I have experience with caring for a large variety of critters including (but not limited to); Guinea pigs, pigeons, snakes, fish, rats, ferrets, parrots, and various lizards. I also have a few years of equine experience and have worked with goats, sheep, donkeys, cows, horses, alpacas, llamas, and camels!

We feel so fortunate to have found Makenzy! She did an amazing job caring for our two large dogs and cat while we were on vacation. She kept us posted with updates and pictures, and all our animals loved her. She will definitely be our go to person for any future pet-sitting needs!
We use Makenzy weekly for our days when we’re working so Rocky isn’t home alone too long ! She’s been so great with our boy !

Schedule
I am currently doing Rover full time and have a variety of amazing repeat clients! I am available at all hours of the day for around the clock care for your dogs, cats, and smaller fur (or furless, we don’t judge) babies. I most often take house sittings, for long weeks away or for weekend trips. I have a few on/off boarding for my regulars with funky work schedules as well, and I do a lot of drop ins each week for all types of pet families! I update my availability very frequently so that everyone can be up to date on my availability, as I can often get booked a few weeks in advance for those longer sittings 😊

I live on a second floor 3-bed condo in a gated community, with my boyfriend (who loves pets as well!) and the pets are welcome to go anywhere they want during their stay here. I do have a puppy gate separating one portion of the home in case anyone ever needs some quiet space. I prefer to take only one boarding at a time to make sure all my clients pets are receiving the maximum amount of attention and highest details of care. However, I may occasionally take more than one if all parents agree in advance and I know each pup will do well. Everything is kept very clean and any potential hazards are far from reach. I also have a variety of beds (although the pups are welcome on the sofas/human beds), as well as a toy basket with lots of diverse options; depending on energy levels/chew toughness some may be removed.

A typical day
I love to spend time with the dogs, letting them use some sniff or lick mats as well as taking them for walks around my community and to the nearby dog park, when empty & with parents approval. Fun fact: dogs who smell a larger variety of scents tend to live longer!

- I am open to accommodating any pets with special circumstances or care as long as I am informed in advance. I am a quick learner if it is something I am unfamiliar with. I know basic first aid for dogs as well as CPR for large and small breeds, and I have experience with pills and inhalers. I aim to send at least 2-3 groups of photos with updates each day (breakfast, midday, dinner) of a longer sitting, but am always happy to send more frequently if you’d like, just let me know at our meet & greet!
