I’ve always grown up with pets. In our home they’re part of the fam. I’m 24 and full of energy. I exercise daily and love to go hiking. I even bring the pups along if it’s not too hot out for them. I began pet sitting when I was asked by past babysitting clients. I’ve been in their home for years so they knew I was trustworthy and reliable. I treat each pet how I would my own with the upmost love and care. I love cuddles and playing with toys! I’ve nannied/pet-sat for 6 years now. So you could say I vast experience with cats, pups & aquatic animals. I’ve even had some fur-babies with sensitive tummies and dietary restrictions. It’s easy to accommodate, so please don’t hesitate to ask if they need some extra love. I’m very patient too and understand that accidents happen. I’ve had cats before that have sensitive tummies and have thrown up. This is second nature to me because I have babysat for so long. So no biggie I’ve got you covered. I love every minute of what I do. I’m very fortunate to do a job that I love. Outside of work, I run a book club in the Lake Linganore area and I love to travel. I’m very easy going and typically available super last minute if you have an emergency come up. I hope I get to meet your fur baby and help out. Nothing is better than being able to relax while you’re out of town because you have someone you can trust.

I can’t watch pets in my own home because I have a bossy chihuahua. I can only offer my services in your home. I will always take my shoes off at the door. I treat each and every home as if it’s my own. Pet sitting like any job comes with responsibility but also respect. I take pride in my actions and treat others as well as other peoples pets/homes as I would want to be treated. At the end of the day a home is a very private, personal space. I’m grateful for the trust and warmth. I also, want to mention I’m comfortable if you have cameras in your house. I’ve worked for many secret service families in the past babysitting who have cameras hidden. It’s no problem with me. I hope I can help accommodate your travel plans and put your mind at ease whether you’re at work or on trip because you have someone in your home you can trust. I’m good at picking up after toys/mess’s. I will leave your home in the condition that you left it. Rest assure.

Makenzie was fantastic. Our dogs were a little slow to get used to her as this was their first time with a Rover and she was patient and considerate. Also she’s just right around the corner so this was a perfect arrangement. I would highly recommend Mackenzie to all!
We have booked Makenzie three times through Rover, and we’ll continue to do so as long as we have pet sitting needs! Our cat loves her so very much, and it’s been a comfort to know he has the consistency of a known friend while we’re away. She takes excellent pictures of her visits and it’s a highlight of our day to get her daily reports. Makenzie takes excellent care of not only our cat, but has been so kind to take our trash can in and out on trash day, and has watered our plants in the summer heat, and has offered to vacuum the litter box area when the litter gets messy. We cannot recommend Mackenzie for your pet sitting needs highly enough!
Makenzie was incredible with our 3 fur babies. We were surprised how quickly they warmed up. That never happens. She gave detailed notes and lots of pictures everyday. All special touches she did were greatly appreciated. We will definitely use her again.
We are repeat customers of Makenzie’s: She first watched our cat in June, and her care and attention were so wonderful that we immediately thought of her for Christmas, and were thrilled to see she had availability for this second trip as well. Once again, she exceeded our expectations. Makenzie is incredibly reliable, communicative, and genuinely loves animals. She made sure our cat was well-fed, happy, and entertained while we were away. She sent us daily updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It’s clear she truly cares about the pets she looks after. Our cat, who is naturally a people person, especially loves Makenzie, he prefers getting pets and cuddles to playing when she visits! Kenzie is awesome! We cannot say enough great things about her snd her services. She took great care of our furbabies and communicated each visit. She sent pictures and even watered our flowers and brought in the mail. We highly recommend her!
Makenzie took such amazing care of our cat while we were away on vacation. He was so spoiled by all the love and affection she showered on him with each visit. We very much enjoyed the lovely pictures she sent over Rover with each visit, she’s got an eye for pet photography! Makenzie went above and beyond and was so kind to water our tomatoes during the Maryland heatwave that occurred during our absence. We will be reaching out to her when we travel again. 10/10 great experience!

I work fully remote and run my own SEO+digital marketing company. My hours are super flexible and your fur baby is my priority. I’ve always been super organized and punctual.
