I am generally available early morning or after 4pm on weekdays. I am in law school, so my class schedule is a bit rigid until the semester ends in May. Weekends are more flexible since I’m not in class. Summertime will be much more flexible!

A typical day
We will go for walks, play with toys, get plenty of snuggles, and whatever attention they desire. I love playing with dogs and cats, and want them to enjoy their time away from their parents as much as possible.

Pet care experience
I look forward to taking care of your furry family member! I have had many kinds of pets throughout my entire life. I grew up on a farm in Minnesota caring for all kinds of animals, including lots of cats and dogs! I have cared for small to large dogs, puppies, kittens, senior cats, and senior dogs. Given my farm life upbringing, I am comfortable caring for multiple types of pets, juggling varying food and medicine needs, coordinating vet care if needed, etc. I now live in Charlottesville with my fiancé and our small dog Juno. We rescued Juno from the Richmond SPCA in 2022 and she is our baby! I am in my first year of law school at UVA, and look forward to spending time with your special pet.

Makenna did a great job walking Sunny. This is my first time using Rover and she made me so comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She went above and beyond, and Sunny looked so happy when I got back from work.
Polite and was there when we needed her
Makenna is fantastic. This is her second time, looking after our pets and she was great giving us updates, went above and beyond, and was very responsive. We will definitely be reaching out to her again to look after all of our animals.
