I think the most important thing to know about a dog ahead of time is their needs, personality, and how they react in different situations. Whether a dog is friendly with children and other animals. Their energy levels and how much exercise they require. Smaller things like feeding schedules as well as what their routine is when their left alone (How long and whether they use a crate or not).
A typical day
Going for long hikes or walks, especially with places to swim or play in the water. I love playing tug with my own dogs and fetch as well. Also having a good zoomies run is fun! If your dog prefers the quiet and calm, cuddles and pets are the best way to go!

McKenna took exceptional care of our two French Bulldogs—an 8-year-old and an energetic 2-year-old—while we were away in Mexico, and we couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. She stayed in our home and treated our dogs as if they were her own, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care while meeting the different needs of each of them. One of our favorite parts of the experience was receiving daily "proof of life" photos and updates. They always brought a smile to our faces and gave us complete peace of mind knowing our fur babies were happy, comfortable, and being so well cared for while we were away.
