I’ve been around pets my whole life and genuinely love all animals. I had my first cat at age 4 and grew up with both cats and dogs. I also lived with a rescued pit bull for several years (she had a rough past and didn’t do well around other dogs), so I have some experience with anxious pups on walks. I understand how important it is to build trust and work at a pet’s pace. Whether your pet is social and playful or a bit shy and needs space, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at and give them the best care possible.

In your home, I’m respectful of your space and committed to keeping your pet’s routine as normal and comforting as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely—whether it’s feeding, medications, walking schedules, or just the way your pet likes their favorite toy tossed. I know every animal is different, and I take the time to get to know their personality and needs. If we arrange care in my home, your pet will be treated like one of my own. I have a calm, pet-friendly space and three cat companions who are used to other animals and are gentle and well-socialized. I always do a slow introduction and only bring in pets that I know will be comfortable in that environment. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, whether I’m in your home or you're trusting your pet with mine.

I’m a super anxious pet parent and Makayla is one of the few people I trust to look after my 3 cats. You can tell she genuinely loves all pets and strives to care for yours as if they are her own. She is excellent at following detailed instructions which is absolutely essential for my furry family because they all have different dietary restrictions and routines that must be followed. Makayla’s company and care was a saving-grace the first time I had to leave my cats alone for a longer trip abroad and I (and my cats!) would absolutely have her back in a heartbeat. She made me feel like she really respects the level of care I expect with my cats and I was able to leave them without worry that something would happen to them or they would be lonely while I was away. I cannot recommend Makayla enough to my fellow pet parents.

Schedule
Even with a full-time job in finance, I make time for what matters—and for me, that includes animals. I work a standard weekday schedule, but my evenings and weekends are all open for pet care. The flexibility of my job may allow for a late morning - early afternoon check-in. Whether its a walk, evening check-in, or weekend drop-ins, I’m happy to build a schedule that fits your pet’s needs. I also spend most of my downtime at home, so if your pets need longer visits, I can give them plenty of attention and company.
