I have been surrounded by cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Before heading to university, I spent a year working as a veterinary technician, so I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. These days, I share my home with one very loved dog, but over the years I’ve fostered pups, cared for seniors, and even navigated life with a reactive dog — so I understand that every animal has their own quirks, comfort zones, and personality. When your pets are with me, they’ll get more than the basics — they’ll get patience, enrichment, snuggles (if they’re into it!), and a routine that feels just like home. Makayla did such an amazing job with my cat! She asked all the right questions to ensure the best care for my pet, and was incredibly gentle and patient with my grumpy little cat. Extra points for the cat video updates, truly made my day to see my cat in such great hands :)

Makayla and Matt (and Noodle) were amazing hosts! While we were away for the weekend, Tilly was living her best life with plenty of playtime and cuddles. Tilly can’t wait for her next sleepover with Noodle!!!

Caring for pets is second nature for me — it’s just part of my everyday life. As a remote self-employed worker, I build my schedule around feeding times, walks, and play sessions, so your pet’s routine stays consistent and comfortable. I love getting outside for walks or backyard play, and I’m equally happy to spend quiet time indoors with pets who prefer a calmer pace. Because I’ve lived with and fostered dogs with different needs (including reactive pups), I know how to adapt activities to each personality. Whether it’s exercise, cuddles, or simply being present, your pet will get the attention and care they deserve throughout my day.

In my home, pets have a safe and comfortable environment to relax and play. We have a fully fenced backyard for secure outdoor time, and baby gates throughout the house to control access and keep everyone comfortable. My own dog is crate trained, and I also have an additional crate available if your pet needs alone time, downtime, or a safe space of their own. I tailor care to each pet’s needs — from supervised play in the yard to cozy indoor rest — so they feel at home while staying happy and secure.

A typical day
A typical day starts with morning potty breaks and fresh water, followed by breakfast and some playtime to start the day off happy. For high-energy dogs, we’ll add extra walks, backyard games of fetch, tug-of-war, or even a little agility-style play to burn off that excitement. If your pup enjoys mental challenges, I incorporate enrichment activities like puzzle toys, treat snuffle mats, scent games, or basic training refreshers to keep their minds busy. Throughout the day, I balance activity, attention, and rest — ensuring each pet gets exactly what they need. Feeding times, potty breaks, and any special care are followed exactly to keep their routine consistent. Evenings include another walk or play session, dinner, and plenty of cuddle or wind-down time. You’ll get regular updates and photos so you can see how happy, active, and cared-for your pet is.
