Can I pet your dog?
Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised around dogs and have always had a special love for animals, including the many cats who have been part of my life over the years. My experience goes beyond simply loving pets. As a teenager, I worked in a grooming environment, and later worked within multiple animal shelters, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I’ve also raised my own three dogs from puppies, giving me plenty of experience with everything from puppy antics to the unique needs of adult dogs. I’m also certified in dog training knowledge and behavior, so I understand that every dog is different and deserves care that fits their individual personality and comfort level. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else. They’re family, and finding someone you genuinely trust with them is a big deal. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away and make sure your pets feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for in their own routine. Whether your pup is energetic and ready for an adventure, shy and needing some patience, or happiest curled up beside someone, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your pets and become someone you—and they—can count on!

I have a fenced in yard and pet crates if needed. I am a helicopter mom to my own personal dogs to ensure they do not get into mischief, and I am extra careful with other dogs as well.

Finding someone trustworthy to watch your pets is always really stressful. I’m so glad that Makayla was available. Makayla is the most caring and kindest person I know. We’ve known each other for over 10 years and she’s always loved animals. She’s the person I call when I need advice or help with my pup. She’s hard working, punctual, and strives to do the best in everything she does. She has previous job experiences in shelters as well helping pet sit for other military families. She’s very knowledgeable and cares for them like they’re her own pets.

Schedule
I am a stay a home mom, so I am pretty much available whenever you need. Just give me a few hours notice if possible!

- Please let me know if your dog has any behaviors that you would want me to watch out for, like chewing on furniture, shoes, etc. Additionally, let me know if your dogs have any sensitivities to treats as treat bribery is the way to most dogs hearts!
