Makayla did an amazing job taking care of our pets! This was our first time having them stay at someone else’s home, so we were definitely nervous, but she put our minds at ease and handled everything like a champ. We have an elderly dog who is a bit of a handful, and Makayla took such great care of her, along with our other dog and cat. She lives on the third floor of her complex and took both of our dogs downstairs multiple times a day for an entire week, all while caring for a new puppy of her own. That was no small task! She even bathed our senior dog and washed her bedding when she had quite a few accidents. That was completely above and beyond what we expected, and we’re incredibly grateful for the extra care and kindness she showed her. All three of our fur babies came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. Thank you so much for your dedication to our little crew, Makayla. 🩷

She does amazing with our dog!

I initially believed Makayla would be a good fit because my boxer responded well to her during our meet-and-greet. Before booking, I specifically requested that no other dogs be present during my dogs' stay, and she agreed. Based on that understanding, I hired her to care for my two dogs for six days. When I dropped my dogs off, I noticed another dog in the home. Makayla explained that it was her sister's dog and that it would be picked up later that day. Although this concerned me, I decided to proceed with the arrangement. When I picked up my dogs, my boxer was not acting like himself. I also had to ask Makayla for the remainder of their belongings. When she returned the items, Mr.'s food bowls were missing, and Chip's blanket and crate liner were wet and smelled strongly of urine. No explanation was provided at that time. Chip has never urinated in his crate before. When I asked about the condition of his bedding, Makayla stated that he had urinated on the liner and blanket early in his stay. This raised concerns because either the soiled bedding remained in his crate for an extended period, or he was left without proper bedding. Once home, Chip drank two full bowls of water, and Mr. drank three bowls—far more than either dog typically consumes at one time. When Makayla later returned with a bag containing bowls, I asked whether the dogs had been fed that morning. She stated that they had been. However, their excessive thirst and hunger made me question whether they had received adequate food and water before pickup. I also noticed that the bowls she returned appeared to be brand new and were not the same quality or type as the bowls I originally provided. When I questioned her about the missing bowls, I did not receive a response. Additionally, I have reason to believe that other dogs may have been cared for during my dogs' stay, despite my explicit request that no other dogs be present and this is one of the reasons for Mr.. change in attitude. Based on these experiences and other thingsthat happened, I do not believe Makayla was transparent or trustworthy in her care of my dogs, and I would not use her services again. I encourage other pet owners to carefully consider these concerns when deciding whether to entrust their pets to her care.

Our dog came home very hungry and thirsty. He should have had food left but none was returned to us. She seemed more interested in drop off and pick up times and provided no updates unless requested.
