Hello! I am Makayla and I would love the opportunity to care for your friend. I have been a veterinary technician for over 8 years, and ample experience with all size and breeds, backgrounds and needs! I have dog training experience with basic behavioral skills such as sit, stay, leave it, and leash walking. I operate by doing drop ins throughout the day, adhearing to whatever schedule is needed. I have emergency care, CPR, Basic Living Saving/ Advanced Life Saving, and First Aid certified for both people and pets, among other veterinary related credentials. I also come with multiple references!

Safety, trust & environment
I will only sit in your home to ensure that all safety precautions and comfort for your pet are met. This includes locking ALL doors, making sure gates are closed, crates (if used), etc. I also bring my own leashes which keep any pets closely secured to me while maintaining positive control during the walk.

Makayla did another wonderful job dropping in for my cat beans for about a week. As always she was responsive, flexible, and all great regarding the bond and love she gives my animals. Very trustworthy and will continue using her services.
This is the second time Makayla has watched my beans for drop in visits. She does an excellent job of keeping me in the loop with what is happening at home; additionally she is always punctual so I never had to worry about if bean has care or not. I always look forward to Makayla’s photos/rovercards at the end of each visit as she takes wonderful photos and gives additional little updates on how the visits go on top of the rover app updates. Makayla is great with following instructions on all my cat’s needs. Both my husband and I find her to be very trustworthy as we have left bean in Makayla’s care twice with no issues of her coming and going into the house. I can tell bean absolutely adores Makayla and because of her wonderful service I would definitely recommend her services to others and continue to use her services as well.
I felt very confident leaving my cats in Makayla's care. She's very responsible and communicates well. I was a little nervous going out of town because one of my cats hasn't been feeling well, but Makayla provided great updates and administered his pain meds with ease. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter!

Makalya is an incredible dog sitter! My dogs absolutely love her. We went out of town for an entire weekend and arranged for her to check on our dogs and visit with them two-three times a day. She arrived early in the morning and fed, gave them vitamins and visited with them. She took care of the back yard, played with them and sent us pictures. She returned each night and stayed with them for awhile, fed, took pictures, etc.. We trust her completely. She is also a vet tech and was able to give me some advice about my older dog. We felt our dogs were in really good hands with her. Our dogs were so calm and happy with her. Anytime I need a dog sitter she is the person I reach out to. Payment, making contact, arrangements, etc all were very easy and smooth with her. Thank you to Makalya for being someone we can trust to take good care of our dogs.
Makayla is our go to person for my fur baby Petri! She’s amazing with her. Petri doesn’t like a lot of people but Makayla is her favorite. Makayla has always been on time and loving. I trust my little baby is taken care of while I’m away.

Schedule
I am currently pursing higher education, which allots for extra time in my already flexible schedule. I am able to make adjustments or take care of any emergency needs, should they arise. If allowed, I am more than happy to cuddle with your furry (or not so furry) friend while studying in your home.

- No breed preferences, but I would like to be notified of any special needs and/or medical treatments of the dog. I am extremely experienced with all types of medicine administration to include diabetic and epileptic pets. ALL puppies under 1 year must have proof of full core vaccines! I work with animals professionally and can come in contact with contagious illnesses. While I do my best to adhere to infectious disease protocols, a second layer of protection with vaccines is mandatory for my services.
