I am an all around animal lover. I grew up in Hawaii with a connection with all animals and have a deep connection and respect for wildlife and nature. I have lived in Colorado, Tennessee, and now California. I have two large breed rescues of my own and have lots of experience with all size dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets. I am extremely comfortable with medication administration, reactivity, heavy pullers, training reinforcements, situational awareness, animal body language, and animal welfare. I am available for drop in visits, walks, overnight stays, and any animal needs.

I honestly can’t think of someone with a bigger heart for animals of all species, sizes, and walks of life. When I broke my leg and couldn’t walk for months, knowing my two dogs were with him gave me such peace of mind. They both have medical needs and can be reactive, and he never made that feel like “too much.” He took the time to understand them, their routines, and what makes them feel safe and genuinely loved them along the way. I’m so grateful for the care and patience he gives my dogs, and I couldn’t recommend him more.
I would absolutely recommend Makalii to anyone looking for help with a pet! He loves all animals and treats them as if they were his own family—which means they get treated very well! I can promise your pets will be well loved and taken care of. He has helped with both of my dogs on many occasions, and I honestly think they might love him more than me now!
