I started out taking care of animals for family friends. I've been taking care of animals through Rover for about a year or so now. I also had an internship in a vet clinic for a few months.

When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping them comfortable and safe in their familiar environment. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, playtime, and any special routines. I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep a clean space, and give plenty of love and attention so pets feel relaxed and cared for. My goal is to build trust with both pets and owners by treating every animal as if they were my own.

Rotties can tell a lot from just meeting a person and Sasha instantly recognized Makaila as someone she trusted. Makaila really stepped in when I was in a bind and another sitter canceled last minute! She went above and beyond and I WILL BE BOOKING HER AGAIN NEXT MONTH!!!
Makaila is very sweet. Our dog took to her immediately and let her pet him right away. He usually takes awhile to warm up to people. We knew that was a good sign. She took good care of him and our house while we were gone. Everything looked great when we returned. We would definitely recommend Makaila.

Makaila was great! She left our house and yard spotless and the dogs were well cared for. She was also super flexible with our unpredictable airline schedule.
Makaila took care of my senior dogs and my home while we were out of town for the holiday; the dogs love her, the house looked great when we got home, and she stayed until we got home to make sure the dogs were covered. Look forward to our next booking!

Schedule
I will be starting school at ETAMU in the fall and will have classes Monday-Friday. I will be at school all day on Mondays but done around noon on the other days. I'm usually very open on the weekends but can make during the week work if your pets can be left alone for a few hours. Or if you need an evening sitter only.
