I currently work from home full time and am very active and willing to walk dog at any time in any weather... and weekends consist of some sort of activity with our children that would require us to be out of the house for 2-4 hours, no more.

We have a 2 bedroom apartment with a very large living room and very large windows that dogs love to look out of! You are welcome to bring your dog bed, we have plenty of space, and a nice dark hallway if they want some peace and quiet :)

I try not to discriminate against breeds, but just from my childhood dogs, the bigger the better! I love gentle giants but the little excited energizer-bunny type dogs are dear to my heart too :) My daughters are obsessed with all animals, and would love to be around your pet too!
A typical day
Around Morris Park and Pelham Parkway are so many lovely trails and quiet residential streets with squirrels to chase and flowers to smell! If allowed, we can also go to the dog park on Bronx Park East near the Zoo, if their temperament allows and your permission is given.

Pet care experience
As a mom myself (both a dog-mom and human-mom!), I know how hard it is to leave your little fur baby behind to enjoy a fun vacation or business trip but I can assure you that with lots of photos and text updates that your little pup or kitty will be so happy in our animal-loving home! We are a vegan household so needless to say, we do not discriminate against any little or big creature (well, maybe just spiders!). Your pup will have the best care, all the couch snuggles, nice walks on grassy Pehlam Parkway dirt paths, fetch games and timely food/drink care! My 6 year old will endlessly read to him/her and my 3 year old will give them all the scratches! They are VERY good with all dogs big or small and understand the limits, they will never be left unattended with your pup! We lost our Golden Retriever and Coonhound this year and just looking to fill the small void in our home <3! So go on your trip and let us go on some fun exploring walks! Maja and her family were absolutely amazing. I was so anxious since this was my first time leaving my fur baby for so long and in someone else’s care, but she and her family truly made me feel that he was loved and well cared for while we were away. She sent plenty of updates, photos, and videos that brightened my day every time. I felt completely assured that he was having a blast with her kids and fitting in as if he were right at home. I can’t thank Maja and her family enough for taking such great care of him and will definitely keep them in mind for our next trip away from home.
Maja always takes such great care of our puppy Nala. We feel comfortable knowing she is in a safe home and Nala always has so much fun, comes back tired but happy.
Maja was a wonderful sitter for our puppy Nala. She was very communicative and patient, we felt very safe leaving our puppy in her care, and would absolutely return for another visit.
Maja and her family were so great with my young pup, Teddy! He had a ball under Maja’s care, and she sent so many beautiful pictures and updates for peace of mind. I would absolutely book with Maja again and I’m sure Teddy can’t wait to come visit again. Thank you for taking such great care of him.
