Maisie can care for
Availability
I’m currently working full-time (not working from home), therefore my spare time is limited to weekday evenings and weekends. I like to go on long walks at the weekends so I’d love to bring a furry friend along with me!

About Maisie G.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I live in a small, ground-floor flat with my boyfriend (also a huge animal lover). The flat has a small communal garden area where I can take dogs out on a lead for toilet breaks. If caring for your dog during the day I would make sure, depending on their age and walking capabilities, to take them out for most of the day due to not having a private garden. Day care would be most suited to calmer, senior dogs or smaller dogs.
Information Maisie G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any behaviours that I will need to take into account when caring for your pet (E.g. not toilet trained, reactive to dogs/people, allergies, fears). I have previous experience with reactive dogs as my previous family dog was reactive to both dogs and people who came too close to her, so I would be happy to care for dogs with slight reactive tendencies. Please also let me know of specific training styles that you use and command words that you prefer to use. If you could provide treats that you would prefer your dog to have, that would be much appreciated, along with favourite toys/blankets.
A typical day
I love to try to keep dogs mentally stimulated with treat-based training and play activities. I love playing fetch with dogs who are able to go off-lead, but I also appreciate the importance of patience while an on-lead dog enjoys sniffing places on their walk. I love all kinds of walks, from short street walks to park walks, and at the weekends I love long walks in the Peak District.

A gentle and caring animal-lover
Pet care experience
Having lived with cats and dogs all of my life, I’d love to help others care for their pets to give them the best life possible while you can still enjoy yours. I’ve lived with two lively Sprocker Spaniels (one of which was a rescue) and multiple rescue cats. Me and my family got our current dog, Poppy, as a puppy in 2018 where I took on the role of training her. I’m especially proud of teaching her how to play fetch. Pets have always been a huge part of my life, but since moving away from my family home in Leicester 2 years ago, I am really struggling living without any pets. I’m a gentle, caring and calm person and can usually win over most dogs and cats. I can care for lively, needy pets and I’m also more than happy to spend time getting shy animals used to me too. I am also happy to spend time with rescue dogs who may need some extra care, support and understanding.
Reviews

Maisie was great, very reliable and looked after our 2 cats perfectly. I would definitely recommend Maisie

Maisie is great - lots of photos and detailed updates which is very reassuring. My cat always seems very happy and content with her. Would recommend Maisie 100%!

Maisie went above and beyond what was expected, we couldn’t recommend her more highly. I think our cat was disappointed when he had to accept us in exchange upon our return!!

Amazing sitter
