I have experience mainly with adult and senior dogs, both big and small. I am an expert at hiding meds in a yummy snack or spoon of peanut butter. I am very thorough and attentive so I will make sure to fulfill any requests you have and needs your furry friends may have. I always make sure that pets in my care have fresh water and their scheduled food, as well as comfort toys and treats. I make sure to study medication regimens thoroughly, so I can keep your pets in optimal health and spirits. I establish trust through consistency in action (that includes treats!). I am concerned with making sure your pets feel safe in my care, first and foremost. I think the only way I can be a fun caretaker for your pets is to establish that feeling of trust and safety.

We have 2 cats, one who has always done well with sitters and I knew would be fine, and one who had never been away from us and always hides when guests come over. Maired did great with both of them! She stayed in our house while we were out of town and by the end of her stay both cats were playing, cuddling, eating just like they would if we were there. Our whole goal with getting a sitter was to disturb their routine as little as possible and she did exactly that! We received daily updates and photos while we were away and came back to a clean, well kept home. Highly recommend!
This was my first time booking with Mairead so I was a little nervous, but she quickly put my mind at ease. She took the time to do a meet & greet and made an effort to learn my pup’s routine beforehand. She consistently kept me updated while I was away. I never had to wonder how my pup was doing because she was very proactive with communication. She also went above and beyond with his meals, knowing he doesn’t usually like to eat when I’m away and made great effort to ensure he was comfortable and eating. I also came home to my place exactly as I left it. I highly recommend Mairead to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Mairead is a modern day Snow White. I returned to two happy and well cared for cats. Even my neighbor's cat stopped by to visit. And my millipede, which I hadn't seen for a month, made an appearance! I am especially grateful that Mairead provided expert care to my one cat that requires medication and a specific diet. I would 100% book with her again.
Mairead was amazing! She provided wonderful care for our two cats--one of them recovering from a recent bout of gastroenteritis--and gave us great peace of mind during a lengthy trip with daily updates, pictures of the cats, and very hands-on support. We'll be booking Mairead for all cat-sitting from here on out!
Mairead was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She stayed at our home with them and took such great care of both the dogs and the house. She communicated consistently throughout the stay with multiple updates each day, and she never hesitated to reach out when she had questions, which we really appreciated. We were especially grateful for her flexibility and understanding when a few logistics changed on our end — she handled everything so graciously and made the whole experience completely stress-free. On top of that, she left our home even better than she found it. Schedule
I am currently between jobs & studying for an insurance license - so I have an open schedule with which to care for your fur babies!

- First and foremost, I want to make sure your beloved furry friends are healthy and happy. Please let me know about any health concerns & medication regimens you may have in place for your pets. In the same vein, please let me know what treats (if any) your pets are accustomed to and how often/under what conditions to treat them. I am acutely aware that choosing a treat a pet isn’t used to having can lead to digestive disaster - no fun for anyone! If your pet has any particular habits or behaviors you’d like to curb (over-grooming, for example) let me know what they are and how you’d like me to redirect their energy. Similarly, if any of your fur friends engage in potentially concerning behavior (panting, for example) as a result of health, age, medication or other normal, non concerning reasons - I always appreciate knowing upfront (I’m a worry wart).
