There’s something about a dog’s loyalty, personality, and the way they become such an important part of our lives that I’ve always cherished. My love for dogs began at a very young age; at just six years old, I had a Poodle of my own and was already learning the responsibility and joy of caring for a dog. Throughout my life, I’ve proudly had dogs of my own and cared for friends’ and family members’ dogs while they were away. We recently lost our beloved German Shepherd/Husky to old age, and although his loss was difficult, it reminded me how much joy dogs bring into our lives. I would love the opportunity to share that extra love and attention with another amazing dog while their family is away. I’m a lifelong dog lover with more than two decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, ranging from 2 to 165 pounds. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, quirks, routines, and preferences and tailoring my care to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I care for every dog as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, affection, and walks when weather permits and with the owner’s approval. My 60-by-55-foot fully fenced yard provides plenty of space to play, explore, and enjoy multiple potty breaks throughout the day. I also work from home with a flexible schedule, allowing me to be present and attentive to my furry guests. Whether your pup loves cuddles or prefers personal space, I’m happy to follow their lead and respect their individual needs. With experience caring for dogs who are anxious, fearful, reactive, or more challenging to handle, I’ve developed strong observational skills and can recognize signs of stress, discomfort, illness, or injury. I’m also comfortable administering medications, following specific care instructions and routines, and providing basic first aid when needed. Most importantly, I love spoiling my furry guests because, in my opinion, they’re on vacation too! 🐾 You’re welcome to bring their regular food, treats, favorite toys, bed, blanket, or other comfort items to help make their stay familiar and special. I’m dependable in all weather conditions and always prioritize the safety, health, and comfort of every guest. If my calendar shows that I’m unavailable, please feel free to reach out anyway. I’m flexible whenever possible and happy to see if we can find a time that works.
