I’m currently taking a break from my career as a SPED educator to raise my infant son. I’m available 7 am - 7 pm M-Th, 7am - 5:30 pm F for daycare and 24/7 for boarding.

* Please ensure that your pet is treated for fleas before booking. Any damage incurred as a result of fleas will be charged to your account via invoice. * By booking with me, you are agreeing to pay full replacement cost plus shipping for any/all items destroyed either willfully or by accident by your pet within 7 days after being provided an invoice. I specialize in care for elderly dogs or dogs who need special medical attention, but welcome all house-trained, child- and other pet-safe adult dogs into our home for daily pet sitting or boarding. Your dog will be treated like family, with full access to a fenced in grass yard, supervised feedings and medication distribution and owner-approved trips to local dog parks. Your pup will be able to lounge in front of the fireplace, burrito themselves on our couch or snooze upstairs in bed. They’ll also have access to enriching play time with our dogs, Pancake and Mocha! Safety is paramount, so any dogs showing aggression will be separated. For boarding, please bring an itemized list of your dog’s things to ensure everything thing is properly re-packed for returning home. Please have your dog’s Rover profile completely filled out with up to date info any vet contact details. All dogs must have collars with tags and leashes/harnesses. All dogs must be up to date on shots, including distemper, rabies and parvo. All dogs must be spayed or neutered. Please note that we cannot accept overly-barky or particularly destructive dogs.

A typical day
We’ll spend chilly mornings snuggled up in a cuddle puddle together while we all warm up for the day! After that, it’s doggy’s choice. If you have an energetic pup, we can walk down to Wright Park or take a drive to Wapato! If your dog is of the potato variety, we can laze around in front of the fire!

I have 20+ years experience as a dog owner, including being lucky enough to spend 18 years with my childhood dog, Kudos. I have a soft spot for elderly dogs and tons of experience caring for dogs with special medical needs as a result.

I drove to Tacoma (8+ hrs) for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday party at a church and wanted to take my dog "Storm" vs. leaving her with a sitter for 4 days. Contacted Maile and she was only a few blocks away from my son's house. Since I had a dog friendly motel, I only needed a daytime drop-off on the 1st day and only a few hours in the afternoon on the 2nd. for a short family get together at my son's house before getting back on the road. For me Maile's location was perfect! her home was clean & very homey with very friendly dogs and a yard. All occupants were very nice & friendly as well. Storm was extremely comfortable and had no problems going into the house on the 2nd day. Maile made my trip a success!!
Maile and her family are the best second family we've found for our Mollydog; I can't recommend them enough! Molly was relaxed as soon as she walked into their home, and she and Pancake (and definitely Patrick) seemed to click right away. I am delighted to have met them and to now have a safe place for Molly to stay when we can't bring her along with us.
Maile is our go to dog sitter for our sweet girl Stella. She takes such great care of our dog whenever we go on vacation. We always get regular updates and pictures about Stella which is wonderful. Stella is always excited to be there. It is like she's going on vacation too. I highly recommend Maile to anyone who is looking for a dog sittier.
Fantastic dog sitter!! Maile took good care of my dog while I was out of state for 6 days. My dog had medication she needed to take which Maile gave her without a problem. I really liked how easy she was to work with and how she was quick to reply to my messages. I would recommend Maile to anyone who needs a dog sitter!
