I work an evening part time job with very short in person hours during the months of September - May. During the months of June - August I am focusing primarily on pet care as I have the majority of the summer off from my current job and miss helping families and their furry friends!

I will watch for ways in which your pet may communicate via body language to make sure they are having a comfortable and hopefully fun time while you are away. Whatever their needs are, I will be sure to meet them! Outside time, playtime, naps, etc! When walking, I make sure to be very aware of my surroundings - cars, other dogs, sassy squirrels - anything that may get in the way of a fun and or laidback experience.

If your pet has any specific likes or dislikes, I would love to be informed on them! For example, maybe your furry friend LOVES head scratches but HATES belly rubs - I want to make sure I respect their boundaries so they can have the best experience possible! If you know your pet gets anxious around new people or experiences mood changes while you’re away, please let me know! Pets often “don’t act like themselves” when they miss their people. Any medications, supplements, or specific dietary needs are also information that would be very important to know ahead of time.
A typical day
Boy oh boy do I love a good game of tug, fetch, or hide and seek! Treat puzzles are always a great time as well if I’m popping in for a visit. I love seeing what your pets can discover while on walks whether it be a shiny new stick or a very brave bug. Meeting a new animals is like meeting a new friend! So many layers to unravel and I get so excited to see what personality they hold.

Pet care experience
I graduated college with a degree in veterinary science and have worked in the vet field for a short period of time. I am comfortable taking care of animals of all ages - from puppies to senior friends! I am also comfortable taking care of animals who may need extra support or special routines. However, I cannot give veterinary advice or make any medical decisions/administrations for your pet that have not already been put in place by their Veterinarian. Their Veterinarian should/will be contacted if need be!
