I freelance from my laptop, so my other work goes where I do. This ensures I have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby and can work around their routine. I can also travel! I currently house-sit in Delco/Philly and D.C.

House Sitting: At the meet-and-greet, we'll walk through your house and their schedule. I'll keep your home clean and tidy and water any houseplants needing care while you're away. I will never invite people to your house unless cleared by you.

A typical day
This entirely depends on the dog! For mental stimulation, I like to do nose work games and some basic obedience, paired with quick neighborhood walks and longer trail walks for physical exercise. And lots of cuddles, of course! We can discuss what's best for your dog at the meet and greet.

Pet care experience
Bonded & insured. We all know our favorite family members have personalities and quirks—that's part of what we love about them! But when the time comes to find someone to stay with them, those quirks can be a source of anxiety. You want the best for them, to know they'll be safe, happy, and well-cared for. This is where I come in. Hi! I'm Maia. I've been working with and training dogs for the past four years. Before that, I helped care for my family's senior dog until he passed over the rainbow bridge. Is your dog leash-reactive? No problem. We'll work on leash manners, identify triggers, and determine the best approach. Still working on basic training? You won't return to find they've forgotten all your hard work. Health problems? Not to worry. I've given shots and pills, dealt with diapers and pee pads, and diligently followed dietary needs. Your fur baby becomes my priority from the moment they enter my care. My calm confidence will ensure their safety and comfort.

Reviews

I cannot say enough good things about Maia. You can tell when a person truly loves animals and our dog knew from the start that Maia is one of those people. She has been amazing with our senior dog. She takes special care to ensure that she is not over-exercised or left outside in extreme weather. When she watched our girl during a blizzard, she even shoveled a pathway in the snow so that Pandora could get outside to do potty. I always get lots of pictures and updates. Maia is a true gem and I highly recommend her.

Maia took great care of our two dogs for almost two weeks with one of them experiencing an unexpected health crisis the second day of care. Maia was very communicative, responsible, extra attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our ill dog was given everything she needed while we were away. We are so grateful that she was the one caring for them!

Maia was a pleasure to work with from initial contact to the meet and greet! She was very punctual and communicative and my 2 pups seemed to enjoy the time with her for the hour drop in visit. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with Maia. She arrived on time for an overnight stay with our epileptic dog. She kept us informed with pictures and comments. Let us know how active she was and whether she was eating well. We came home to a happy dog and we look forward to a longer trip knowing that Maia is looking after our dog and house.
