Energetic and attentive caregiver!
I’ve had dogs since I was five years old and truly can’t remember a time when dogs weren’t part of my life! I also helped my mom with her in-home dog boarding service, which has given me experience caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and needs. I’m comfortable with everything from puppies under a year old and dogs who aren’t crate trained to seniors who need extra hands-on care. I have experience giving medications, helping senior dogs up and down stairs or furniture, and using a wagon when walks are no longer comfortable. I’ve also cared for reactive dogs and understand the importance of patience, boundaries, and following each dog’s individual routine. We’re huge animal lovers in our home, and pets are treated like part of the family. Dogs are welcome to get comfortable, roam freely, play, relax, and receive plenty of attention and affection. I’m very comfortable adapting to different needs and personalities and want every dog in my care to feel safe, loved, and at home.

Maia took great care of my dog (Bailey) while my family and I were on vacation for a week. She kept us updated everyday, asked thoughtful questions about Bailey's day-to-day routine, and took her on multiple walks throughout the day. Bailey absolutely loved Maia and I'm definitely going to ask her again if I'm ever away.
Maia is a caring, compassionate and responsible person. She adores dogs and takes good care of them. Dogs are family to her. She grew up with a loving Labrador and a rescue Beagle and took special care of them. She is very flexible and curates a schedule and the program for dogs as requested by the dog parents. She follows any special requests or dog program, has access to car, takes them places, parks - as per instructions. In addition, her life long love and passion for dogs took her to support dog shelter in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and she is always seeking other opportunities to volunteer.

Schedule
I am a student with an flexible schedule, who is open most weekdays during the day to come and check in on your furry friends, walk them, take them to the park, etc. When I have pets in the home, they are the priority always. My day is scheduled around taking them out, play time, walks and treats. If I have to step out, I like to leave the TV on for them to feel calm. I enjoy taking dogs with me to the park, the Pet Store, or even other dog friendly stores like Canadian Tire/Home Depot. Pets are curious and should explore all day!

At home, we treat all pets like our own allowing them to roam and as they please and hang in our fenced yard. At your home, I would follow any and all rules you implement, and ensure that I am constantly changing water, taking our furry friends outside, and keeping them entertained with toys and games.
A typical day
With all my pets, I love to play and be outside. I am a very active person myself, working as a personal trainer, so I have a very flexible schedule (as I set my own hours) and am able to keep up with energetic dogs. We typically do 3 walks, and 1 car trip (somewhere like a dog park, pet store, or another dog friendly place) in a day. At home, we have a wide array of toys to play fetch, tug-of-war, or just standard chewing. We also have a fenced backyard for extra security, and a two-story house where pets are allowed to roam free. There is always someone home, but if I need to step out for a moment I like to leave on the TV for calming music to relax the pets.

- Please let me know about any special care your pet requires, nothing is too much, do not hesitate! I want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible. Some of my experience includes: - I am comfortable administering medication (oral, aural, tablets) - I have experience with senior dogs who need assistance with movement and getting up and down stairs or cars - I have taken care of reactive non-friendly dogs before, who need to be kept away from social places and walked with extra security such as a prong collar - I can have multiple pets in the home if they are dog-friendly - I can take care of puppies, and those that not crate trained I recommend to all pet owners, whether your pet is anxious or not, to provide a personal item for your stay (something with your scent on it) to keep your fur-baby comfortable. I have 2 dog beds, multiple food and water bowls, blankets, treats, potty bags, extra leaches and collars, nail trimmers, brushes and de-shedders, and a plethora of toys.
