I’ve taken care of over 30 animals through foster care, including a litter of 5 puppies and helping senior dogs recover from ailments. I grew up surrounded by pets and have cared for my family’s 3 dogs. Throughout the years, I have become a trusted pet sitter among friends and family back home in Honolulu, HI and I am hoping to grow my network within DC. With extensive experience in animal care, your dog will receive consistent exercise and a safe, comfortable environment. Lots of affection and treats!

Louis trusted her from the start, which was a good sign. Maia asked all the right questions—including where we were at in our training regime and any bad habits to watch out for—which made us very confident in her ability to take care of our boy. Louis came home happy and exhausted, which means he got plenty of play time. Maia kept us updated throughout the day and shared any observations, while Louis settled in. Schedule
work from home 4 out of 5 days in a week. Dog walking availability is most flexible in the mornings or late afternoons, and within walking distance or 15 minute commute.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment building with access to a private fenced dog park and a 20 min walk to nearby parks. I am comfortable watching small to medium sized dogs (<50 lbs). Have experience with crate training dogs.
A typical day
I enjoy going on long walks with active dogs and venturing to nearby parks to play fetch. I always make sure to have a water bowl on hand for your dog especially during the warm summer days.
