I completed placements at a professional dog walking agency in Fergus, Ontario, and at a veterinary clinic, gaining valuable knowledge in animal health and behaviour. As a foster parent, I’ve cared for pets with special needs, developing patience and compassion. Additionally, my background in social work has strengthened my ability to connect with both pets and their owners, ensuring a trustworthy and respectful relationship. I’m comfortable managing dogs with crates, special needs, or unique behaviors, ensuring your pet feels secure and loved while you’re away.

Maggie is the best with animals. Since i have known her, she has fostered animals and always ensures they find a good home, even adopting one of the cats herself. When I go out of town she is the most reliable and trustworthy person I know to feed my animals and walk my dog. She regularly volunteers with the kitchener humane society, and always ensures animals in her care feel safe and loved and are taken care of to the absolute best of her abilities. She is the best option for any animal related job and I seriously could not recommend her more.
Maggie has pet sat for my family a number of times and my two cats absolutely love her! Our one cat is not a huge fan of other people, but immediately warmed up to Maggie, greeting her at the door everytime he sees her. Our home is always tidy and our cats are definitely very happy after she visits. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone that may be interested!!
To whom it may concern: I’m very pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Maggie Mckelvey. Maggie has worked for me babysitting my best fur buddy Cleo multiple times over the years. Maggie was very trust worthy and responsible and built a strong relationship with my dog who is normally very stand off-ish and shy to new people. Maggie would always keep me updated and text me immediately when she had arrived to my house on days I was at work. She would keep me updated on pictures of Cleo on their walks and treated Cleo as if she was her own. I love the fact that my dog does not have to go in a kennel and has the option to stay in Maggie’s home.

Schedule
I have open availability to spend quality time with your pets over the next few weeks, aside from times that are blocked off via Rover. I will then update my schedule accordingly. I’m happy to arrange walks or drop-ins that fit your pet’s routine!
