I've grown up caring for my own dogs and cats, pet sitting for others, and volunteering at animal shelters. In more recent years I have gotten experience working as a dog handler at a dog daycare and now work as a dog trainer. My responsibilities with the daycare job include playing with dogs, training basic commands, preparing meals for dogs, giving medication, taking dogs out to go to the bathroom/cleaning up after them, and handling both large and small breed dogs. Working as a trainer I have been able to observe training classes, practice commands, and learn about dog body language. Lastly, I am currently in graduate school studying behavior analysis at the University of North Texas with the goal of becoming an expert in animal behavior and animal training.

When pet sitting in my clients homes, the safety of your pet will be my main priority. Whatever protocol you have in place for your pets and how you wish for them to be cared for I will follow. I am very good at providing quick communication with texting/phone calls if you for whatever reason need to contact me while I am caring for your pet. Additionally, I can update you with pictures and/or texts on how your pet is doing!

Any medical conditions/allergies your dog or cat may have so I can best assist them along with any medication they may be on that I would need to give them. Any likes/dislikes your dog or cat may have and if they are friendly towards people. Additionally, if your dog is good with other dogs so I can be best prepared to keep your pet and others safe while walking them!
A typical day
I will definitely be going on walks with your pup unless otherwise specified by the owner! Whatever toys your dog or cat likes I will be using as it helps me bond with them and also gives them much needed physical and mental stimulation! I also love working on training with dogs so if you already have tricks your pet can do or would be comfortable with me working on my own tricks with them let me know!

My schedule is very flexible! I have a three hour class on Monday's and Wednesdays but other than that a lot of what I do is remote!
