I love when clients have a fenced yard so I can freely play with their dogs but being on-leash is ok too, just requires me to be a bit more creative in playtime.

Information Maggie G. would like to know about your pet

Most importantly would be to be aware of medical conditions, medications, or special needs. I would also like to know a bit about their personality so I know how to approach/present myself. I do have a short, easy form that I like the client to fill out so that I always have important information at hand.

A typical day

I love to take dogs out to get not only exercise but mental stimulation as well. Showing off tricks, learning new ones, running at a dog park, and encountering new scents; I believe I enjoy it all just as much as they do! My favorite part of being an animal sitter is getting to know the pets and playing during visits.

Pet care experience

Animals are my absolute passion through and through. I have always been the “go to” for any of my friends’ animal needs, from sitting to training to administering medications. I recently graduated from a Veterinary Assistant program and will be credentialed next month, am in my first semester of school for Veterinary Technology, am a canine massage therapist, certified in pet CPR, and have hand raised countless orphaned kittens and puppies. I do it all and if I encounter a new experience I am always eager to learn, educate myself, and expand my horizons! I care for pets in a clients home exactly as they instruct me to whether they are on a specific schedule or easy going, I take the clients wants and the animal needs as the most important part of providing for them.

Maggie had great communication and was very responsive. We had her check on our Hazel who is very lazy and a little shy. Maggie got her to warm up fast.

Maggie was very personable when she came to meet my dogs. She listened to what we requested of her, and did a great job with our dogs while we were gone. We will definitely have her back when needed!

You can tell Maggie deeply cares for your pet. She was able to give meds and made my nervous chihuahua comfortable. I can truly enjoy my time away knowing my little dogs are well taken care of. I know she spent quality time with them because when she wrote to me she had their personalities down. I am so happy I found Maggie!
