I was raised with cats and dogs of differing breeds and sizes, and as an adult owned a companionable beagle mix and a sweet and very domestic longhair cat as well. For many years now, I have gotten my daily dog and cat dosage through pet sitting. I love getting to know lots of different critters and giving them what they need while their people are away. You'll get a written, day-by day reports of your dog's activities, mood, appetite, and other relevant details. Also, when I stay with your dog or cat in your home, I do light housekeeping, so you don't come home to a week's (or a month's) worth of mess. You can feel confident your instructions will be followed, and your pet will be safe and cared for—possibly even just a little spoiled.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe many dogs and practically all cats prefer to be in their own homes even when their owners are away. I respect an animal's need to get to know me at his or her own pace. Some cats would rather not engage, and that's fine. Some dogs take a while, and I'm pretty good at engaging without being scary.

Maggie was very patient with our super shy cat and made sure she was taken care of while we were away. She sent us daily updates which I really appreciated. She also left the house super clean! We would definitely recommend her as a thoughtful and dependable sitter.

Schedule
I'm generally working during the day, but have time for morning and evening drop-ins and for overnights. This works especially well for cats. I generally cannot care for dogs during the day, because of the demands of my other job. Some overnights may be possible.
