I have a deep love and respect for non-human animals. Growing up with multiple indoor and outdoor cats and a family dog (a feisty miniature poodle!), I have developed a strong knowledge base of pet behavior. In my work as a pet caretaker, I look for and respond to behavioral cues and needs, allow space for pets to come to me and feel safe with me, adapt to pets' energy levels, encourage play, and bring a compassionate, patient, and responsible nature.

Safety, trust & environment
First, I greet the pet and check in on their overall wellbeing. If I am pet-sitting, I will take a quick look about their living environment to make sure that it is clean and safe. If I notice an accident or that the pet has gotten into something, I alert the pet parent. I take care of any in-home needs, and then I spend time connecting with the pet through play, attention, and treats (if allowed!). If I am dog-walking, I make sure to bring the pet's gear (leash, harness, poop bags, water, treats) and prepare a planned route.

I have known Maeve for about 7 years, and during that time I have seen that she is trustworthy, kind and conscientious. She is an excellent cat mom to her cat, Thor, whose friendly personality tells me that he is well cared for. I am a dog-walker and pet-sitter myself and Maeve joined me recently for a dog walk. The dog I had at the time is a bit shy and doesn’t approach everyone, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that he warmed up to her right away and even accepted pets and offered cuddles which is rare for him! He also had a great time playing fetch and running around with her, and she was able to manage him well on-leash. Maeve is genuinely caring and attentive to animals of all sorts, enjoys spending time with them and has my full and confident endorsement to care for your pet!

Maeve took care of my two cats while I was on an international trip. Maeve did such a great job taking care of them. One of them is quite difficult and doesn’t like strangers, but Maeve was able to pet him and teach him a trick! I was really able to enjoy my trip and relax knowing my boys were in such good hands!
Maeve was wonderful! She was so caring, patient, and dedicated to keeping our two cats happy while we were gone. Every instruction was kept in mind, and she knew how to keep our boys feel safe and comfortable around her. It felt good knowing that they were great care. I highly recommend her to any pet parent, and I will be contacting her again if I need a cat sitter!
I trust Maeve more than anyone to watch my dog! I’m always anxious leaving my dog while I’m away but my she took to Maeve right away and I was immediately at ease knowing she was under Maeve's care. Maeve's presence is so loving and she's very intuitive to my dog's needs. She pays attention to details such as training and takes her role very seriously. Always reliable and communicative. And more importantly, she has so much love for animals and genuinely cares about their well-being. Thank you Maeve!

Schedule
I have most flexibility to take care of your pet on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Afternoons work well for me. Mornings depend on my schedule and pet parents' schedule.
