I have cared for animals for 20+ years and I have three years of professional experience working in a veterinary setting as an assistant for a doctor on the board of the Dallas Zoo, where we treated all types of exotics and household pets from monkeys to hyenas to anteaters as well as people's dogs, cats, rabbits, and more. I also spent 5 years fostering special needs dogs, as well as puppies, kittens, rabbits, and even a hedgehog! Having relocated to Philly and changing careers, I deeply miss taking care of animal companions! I have a cat and a big free roaming rabbit who are my babies, my housemates, and dearest friends, and in my free time I have a few neighborhood dogs I walk from word of mouth opportunities. I have experience giving medication, caring for seniors and special needs pets, and am comfortable with any level of caregiving for any temperament of pet. Whether you have goats, pigs, dogs, cats, birds, rats, rabbits, donkeys, or anyone in between, I'd love to be there to help support you and your pet's unique needs.

Madison is the best dog walker I've had.She walks my dog every day and she is completely reliable. I'm often home when she comes: she's fun to talk to but respectful of my privacy. Madison is inventive in making walks enjoyable. I like her. My dog loves her.
Madison is an INCREDIBLE caregiver and clearly loves what she does!! She has taken care of my cat, Kiki, multiple times, and each time she's been so patient and loving with him. She takes the time to actually be present with him, play with him, make sure he eats and stays happy! She's also great with his daily oral steroid, which isn't always the easiest thing to administer, and she never makes it stressful for him! I swear she's better than me at it!! I always get sweet photo and video updates showing him happy and relaxed, which puts my mind completely at ease while I'm away too. Madison consistently goes above and beyond, and honestly I think my cat might love her more than he loves me! I couldn't recommend Madison enough!!

Schedule
I work Wednesday and Thursday evenings as a cook, but I am always available those mornings and those evenings (even though I will be off work late). I am fully available and very flexible otherwise!

Safety, trust & environment
I do have a cat and a large free roaming access who have full access to my home, so if you have boarding needs, I need to be sure your pets do not have high prey drive, otherwise I will need to come care for them in your home! But my cat and rabbit are both extremely sweet and social and have been around all sorts of animals successfully. If I am coming to your home, just let me know your and your pet's needs and I will be there to assist and support in whatever capacity is needed!

Whether it is lots of play, exercise, and activity, or cuddling and cozying up, or even if we are a more nervous and solitary type and need time to trust and feel comfortable, I am here to learn your pet and make them feel safe and meet their needs.
