Pet care experience
Your dog’s new best friend
My love for animals has been prominent ever since I can remember. I trained and cared for my first dog at the age of 7. Since then, I’ve owned 6 dogs and 4 cats! Neighbours, friends, and family have trusted me to look after their pets for years.

Ratings and reviews
Hello. I believe Madison will be a great addition to the Rover Team. She cat sit at my house in August and did a great job. The cat is indoor/outdoor, but she always kept an eye out for him and when he wanted to come in, she was there right away. The house was clean when I came home as well. She gave me updates via text or call to let me know how he was doing. That made me feel more comfortable while I was away. I will definitely use her again, I think she is very reliable and good with animals. Her family is also very pet friendly. Her mom fosters cats, and they have several of their own. I have seen pictures and videos of her pets. Please let me know if you require any additional information. Regards, Ann McElvaney
Maddie grew up around pets her entire life. She has been caring for our dogs, cat and even our horse from a very young age and her love for animals started from the time she could walk. She is extremely responsible and loving. Always making sure that her beloved pets are happy and taken care of. Not only is Maddie extremely reliable and responsible but it goes beyond caring for a pet. She is an extremely well rounded young adult who loves to work hard, make a difference in everyone's life and I would trust my pets with her any time any day!!

Schedule
I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home. I have class Monday and Wednesday mornings until about 1 p.m., but I’m available before and after class for walks, feeding, and care. On Tuesdays I have a short morning Zoom class from home, and the rest of my week is generally flexible. I’m able to plan my schedule around a pet’s routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and bathroom breaks they need.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in a comfortable two-bedroom apartment in Astoria on the second floor of a pet-friendly walk-up, so there is just one flight of stairs. Pets are welcome in my bedroom, living room, and on the furniture, and I can separate animals if needed. I live with one roommate who is very comfortable around pets. Athens Square Park is less than a five-minute walk away, and Astoria Park is about a 15-minute walk for longer walks and exercise.
A typical day
I love giving pets a mix of activity and downtime based on their personality and usual routine. We’ll go on neighborhood walks, spend time at the nearby parks, play with toys, and relax at home. I’m happy to do longer walks with high-energy dogs or keep things slower for older or lower-energy pets.

- Please let me know about your pet’s normal routine, energy level, feeding schedule, medications, allergies, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of. I also like to know how they do around other people and animals, whether they can be left alone, and anything that helps them feel comfortable in a new environment.
