In my home, I am very hands-on in that I like to always know what my dog is up to. I am very observant to her body language and specific needs. I like to make sure all of her physical and mental needs are met through walks, playing, affection, and enrichment activities. I would be the same with your pet!

A typical day
I am a big fan of meeting both the physical and mental needs of pets! I love to do mental enrichment exercises (commands, searching for food, snuffle mats, etc), walks, and play time.

Dog Mom with Rescue Experience
Pet care experience
Summary: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life, and I enjoy training, walking, and spending time with them. I grew up in two households - one with numerous (easy-going) dogs, and one with one (challenging) dog. My dog is a (loving) reactive rescue with unique needs and struggles, so I’m used to adjusting our activities to fit her needs. I am also used to high-energy breeds, and I love enrichment activities! I’ve pet-sat many dogs/cats over the years, but I’m new to Rover :) More Details: One of my childhood households is on a farm where professional training/breeding occurs, so there are 7-8 dogs (and many puppies) in the house at a given time. Most of these dogs have been English pointers, setters, labs, and jack russells. High-energy breeds! My other household has a shiba inu, which gave me experience with more stubborn or temperamental dogs and initially taught me to read (and respect) dogs’ body language. This came in handy when I rescued my dog (a hound-mix) 3 years ago! I’ve worked hard with my dog to overcome many of her fears and triggers. When I got her, she was completely reactive towards anything we would encounter on walks and we could hardly go around the block without her refusing to walk or having a reaction. Now, she’s a walking champ! We walk around 4-7 miles a day, and though she is still quite skittish towards strangers and has a reaction every now and then, she’s come a long way. I’ve also taught her 20(ish?) commands, which she loves to show off to either get her food or for me to throw a toy.

Reviews
Always dependable and great with our dog, Milo. Highly recommended 👍🏻

This was our first Rover experience, and Madison exceeded all expectations. We have two small dogs, one of whom is very reactive and fearful of strangers, so we were nervous going in. Madison scheduled a meet-and-greet, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and unfazed by all the barking. She took the time to understand each dog’s individual needs and helped them feel comfortable at their own pace. On our first day out of town, she sent tons of pictures and videos, which gave us such peace of mind. Our dogs were comfortable and did better than we ever expected. We will absolutely rebook with Madison and highly recommend her. She is kind, patient, and genuinely cares.
Madison was great with our dog, Milo. Great communication and pictures. Highly recommend!
