15+ Years of Loving Pet Care
Since I was 16, I have house/pet sat for friends parents, grandparents friends and even my boss’s animals. I had three dogs growing up and have been taking care of my own lab mix since I was 18 years old. I also worked in the doggy day care center of Petsmart for a year and have experience with dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. I’m responsible and love animals, your pets will have the best care with me!

Madison very kindly accepted a last minute request and was very patient and loving towards my nervous cat!

Madison is great! She’s very kind and took great care of with my cat, Xena, while I was away for a work trip. She has the sweetest dog who is very well behaved. I was a little nervous about how Xena would do around a big dog but it seemed to do very well once she warmed up to him. Upon pickup, Xena was the most calm I’ve seen her in a long time, which warmed my heart in knowing she had a great weekend with such great care :)

honestly the best!!! super responsive, sent lots of updates with photo/videos, and took such good care of honey lemon as well as making sure she was safe and healthy . her dog was so sweet to honey lemon as well so she made a new friend :) i would go with Madison 100% in the future again and would recommend her services to anyone, thank you again!

Maddy was amazing with my fur babies! She dropped in for a meet and greet prior to me taking a trip, and all of my animists immediately warmed up to her (even my shy guy!), so I knew I was making the right decision choosing her. She made sure to keep me updated on how my pups a kittys were doing while I was away, which to calm my anxiety and allowed me to enjoy my vacation. I cannot say enough good things about Maddy, and I will definitely be rebooking with her again in the future! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my babies and home!
I had previously employed Maddy during her time at our dog boarding center, and I can confidently say that she was one of the most skilled and dedicated employees on our team. Maddy had an incredible ability to connect with every dog that came through our doors, and her enthusiasm and energy were contagious. One of the things that impressed me most about Maddy was her ability to monitor dog behavior and prevent fights before they could happen. She was trained to recognize subtle signs of aggression and anxiety in dogs, and she was always vigilant in her observations. Thanks to Maddy's watchful eye, our doggy day care was a safe and welcoming space for every dog that came through our doors. Maddy was also a reliable and hardworking employee. She was always punctual, organized, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our dogs received the best possible care. Her positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges made her an invaluable member of our team, and we were sorry to see her go when she moved on to new opportunities. Overall, I would highly recommend Maddy to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate dog care provider. Her expertise in dog behavior, combined with her dedication and work ethic, make her a true asset to any team.
I recently had the pleasure of hiring Maddy to pet sit for my multiple dogs while I went on vacation, and I couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional care she provided. Maddy is a true professional who clearly has a deep love and respect for animals, and it shows in the way she interacts with them. Not only did she go above and beyond to ensure that my pets were well-fed, exercised, and happy, but she also took great care to keep my house in order while I was away. I returned to a clean, tidy home that was just as I left it, and I couldn't be more grateful for Maddy's attention to detail. I highly recommend Maddy for anyone in need of a responsible, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. She is a true gem in the world of pet care, and I feel fortunate to have found her. Thank you, Maddy, for taking such great care of my furry friends and my home while I was away!

Schedule
I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and work around their individual routines. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, house sitting, and boarding, and I can be flexible with timing when your pet needs extra care or a little more attention. I’m also just steps away from a fenced-in dog park and close to Walnut Creek Park, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks, exercise, and outdoor enrichment.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have an 11-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix who is friendly with cats and smaller dogs, though he can be reactive toward some larger dogs. Because of this, I’m very familiar with reading canine body language, managing introductions carefully, and respecting a dog’s individual comfort level. I’m especially understanding of reactive, nervous, or easily overwhelmed dogs and am comfortable working within their boundaries rather than forcing interactions. I’m happy to discuss triggers, routines, and strategies that help your dog feel safe. For boarding in my home, I only accept cats and small dogs. My dog has free run of the home, but I also have a separate bedroom where a visiting pet can have their own quiet, secure space if they need separation or time to decompress. I’m also comfortable administering virtually any type of medication other than injections, including medications that require a little extra care or patience.
Pets
A typical day
Every pet gets a day tailored to their personality, energy level, and normal routine. For dogs, that might mean neighborhood walks, a trip to the nearby fenced dog park, playtime, training games, or simply hanging out together. For cats, I’m experienced with all kinds of personalities—from social and playful cats who want lots of attention to shy, independent, senior, or easily overwhelmed cats who need a little more patience and space. I’m very attentive to body language and let each animal tell me what they need. Some pets want nonstop attention; others are happiest when you quietly keep their routine going. I’m happy to provide either! For house sitting and drop-ins, I’ll follow your pet’s normal feeding, medication, potty, exercise, and enrichment routines as closely as possible.

- Please let me know about your pet’s personality, comfort level around other animals, and anything that might affect their care. I do have my own dog in the home, so I especially appreciate knowing how your dog feels around other dogs, particularly larger dogs. I’m very comfortable working with reactive, nervous, or selective dogs and am happy to arrange an off-site introduction when appropriate. For boarding, I only accept cats and small dogs. I also have a separate bedroom available if your pet needs their own space. Please tell me about any medications, behavioral quirks, fears, triggers, dietary restrictions, special routines, or anything else that helps me understand your pet. I’m comfortable administering all types of medications except injections, and the more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor their care.
